Letterman is leaving soon. It's a good time to revisit his best moments.
I love this interview with Howard Stern from the 1980's. Letterman sits back and let's Howard hang himself. Classic.

Anytime he had Richard Simmons on was hilarious, like the time he rigged the stupid bamboo steamer he was trying to promote.

PG CooperRemember when Jibbs had his letter published in Nintendo Power? Well, it looks like he has been topped: cinemassacre.com/2015/05/08/mikes-letter-to-david-lettermanI actually remember watching that sketch. I don't know if I watched it live or on a best-of clip or on YouTube, but it's one of the Late Show moments that stands out to me. And this mailbag segment evolved into Conan's fan corrections. It's basically the same concept but different content. PhantomKnight

I had a letter published in Nintendo Power? Yeah. They misspelled your name and you cried about it.

It wasn't a letter, it was a Star Wars: Rogue Squadron contest.

Jimmy Kimmel says goodbye to David Letterman:
It's amusing that Kimmel was influenced by Letterman because I think Kimmel's show is Jay-Leno-esque. Conan and Craig Ferguson were the only guys who re-created the magic of Letterman. Everyone else borrows from Johnny Carson and Leno and a little bit from Arsenio.

I know he's a prominent name in comedy and late night but I never found Letterman funny.

Conan is going to point out the exact minute in his show that you should change the channel to catch Letterman's last episode.

Letterman had some of the greatest interviews in talk show history. You're gonna LOVE the Madonna one from 1994:

And we wonder why people are starting to collectively shrug at sexual assault allegations now. But you're right, lets go light up David Letterman for something that's a decade old. Because why not?
