As far as soundtracks go, The Crow is the best.

I would submit the Dances With Wolves score as one of the greatest composed for a film.

Some of my all time favorite scores/soundtracks. Not in any particular order and not all of my favorites, just some that came to mind.

Most of the Burton-Elfman collaborations are great. Speaking of, in October, a local theatre here in Durham is going to have a live performance/compilation of a lot of the Danny Elfman-composed music for Tim Burton films. Needless to say, I've already got tickets.

Yeah, they did the same thing with some of the John Williams scores back in October of 2013. I went to that, too.

With the new Rocky movie around the corner, let's remind Deexan of this gem:

I've always found this piece to be a great and effective recurring musical theme throughout the franchise, but its use in Mockingjay Part 2 has most likely permanently made it so that every time I hear it now, especially the bit from 2:45 - 4:10, I'll be a mess. Can't fight those feels.

There are some soundtracks that are so obvious that putting them on a list like this superfluous. As such, I won't bother to post any of the Star Wars soundtracks, Help! and A Hard Day's Night. John Williams and The Beatles are in a class all their own.

DeexanIn honor of George Gaynes, yes - that's his name, from Police Academy and Punky Brewster fame, who passed away today.
