I was watching the live feed from Celebration, so I've already seen the trailer a few times. It was good, but it didn't have me jumping out of my seat and fist-pumping like the Force Awakens did. I guess that's because it was preying on so much nostalgia from the OT. Nothing made me misty eyed like seeing the Falcon flying through debris, still...it was good, all-in-all.

It's because this trailer didn't tell us anything new. Rey training with Luke? Yeah, we knew that. Finn is injured. Knew that too. Poe and BB-8 out there fighting the New Order. Expected. What the fuck is Chewbecca doing? R2? C-3PO? Leia? What schemes are Kylo and Snoke up to? Any new characters? Any new aliens? Spaceships? Worlds? This trailer told us jack shit. We're getting this one 7 months before the movie. But that's gonna be the norm now. They're not gonna confuse the marketplace with trilogy and anthology stuff. We're not gonna get anything Episode 9 until the Han Solo movie is on blu-ray. |

My concern is that we had the right ending in Return Of The Jedi. I am worried that if they make Luke a Broken or Dark figure or try and change what George Made a Jedi and Sith to be. I may loose any interest in a Episode 9. I mean I already dont like not having Anakin and Jaina Solo not in the movies and definately dont like Broken Luke.

Luke won't go dark. Trust me. He'll go grey. Too me A Grey Jedi is basically Qui Gon Jinn or Mace Windu. I just dont for see them needing to label Grey Jedi as a new movement. Yes Luke can blame Rules that needed changed in the Order but really Jedi in my view is a symbol of Hope. Its like Hope has fallen to this dark place where he has no hope and thats more too lines a step not far from Dooku. |
