I wouldn't know enough about PR to comment on the effectiveness of such a strategy, but I wouldn't put it past them. |

I'm hearing most prominent Republican speakers talking about party unity, and Clinton's a crook - but I still haven't heard much about Trump is the man who can be great.
The only people Talking about Trump are either people we don't really know (friends), or family members.
So boo Hilary and yay Republicans is not going to draw many outsiders into the fold to vote for Trump. That's really the reason for holding a convention.

I was watching Mitch McConnell's speech today, and thought, *Who does he remind him of?*
He looks like Beaker from the Muppets. His head swivels but the only thing that moves when he speaks is his bottom lip. Nothing above his lower lip ever moves.
Creepy.
A full two days we finally hear, oh the speech writer for Melania Trump did lift two lines from Michelle Obama's speech. And she "offered her resignation but it wasn't accepted"
Two days of denial and then a story for such a small thing... what are they going to do about more serious blunders. BTW the hubbub was dying down before Trump tweeted about it again, and then it kept going.

As soon as I first read that Ted Cruz had agreed to speak at the RNC, I suspected he had plans other than those of Trump. You can't accuse someone's father of KILLING KENNEDY and expect them to just let it slide. You certainly don't give them an opportunity to grandstand at a convention that's supposed to be about you, but Trump hasn't got enough sense to realize that, and did it anyway. Cruz has made a career out of pissing off his contemporaries. I can't imagine why Trump thought the same wouldn't apply to him. I suppose the fact that Chris Christie bent over for him at the first opportunity, and has continued to do so ever since gave Trump a false sense of security.
