Weird, The Daily Show made a joke a few days ago about how it's possible that not all of them will be alive to see Season 7 of Game of Thrones.

Lots of my oh so tolerant liberal Facebook friends are saying some pretty vile stuff about the guy now that he died. I'm sure they'd have no problem though if I were to say the same about Ginsburg when she kicks the bucket.

They guy hurt a lot of people, it's kind of hard not to think about how much good can come from the vacancy. I will say I wish it had been from retirement rather than death.

You could say that about any judge or politician depending on what side of the isle you sit on. Still, I think it shows pretty low moral character to celebrate a guys death just because you disagree with someone politically no matter which way you go.

Anyway, I'm thinking this will be the end of Bernie Sanders run right here. It was one thing to entertain the possibility of a Sanders run before but with this looming Democrat voters are going to think a lot harder about the electability of their candidate. Turnout is going to be huge.

You're right about that only I'll add that I think it's going to be both sides making a push. Conservatives certainly don't want to see their majority in the court vanish and liberals are going to do all they can to keep a Democrat in the White House. We'll see how it plays out in the coming weeks but you're right, Obama may just have to nominate the most centrist person he can find.

Turnout is going to be huge. Why would this spell doom for Sanders? Because he's a risky candidate who's more of a gamble in the general election. If the Republicans try to filibuster the appointment of a new justice until after the election the Democrats are not going to want to gamble with a chance to fill that seat and will go with the safer candidate. That's my theory anyway, I'm not a political scientist so I could be wrong.

Got it, Justice Scalia is akin to Adolph Hitler.
It's those damn Republicans though, they're the ones who need to tone down the hateful rhetoric.

I wasn't comparing the late justice to those political leaders. I was pointing out that there are some deaths to be celebrated because of their politics. Would you not agree the world is a better place without the people I listed???

Unless you are saying the electoral electoral college would nix a popular result of either Sanders or Trump, it could possibly happen, but it has only happened four times.

Sanders looks older then McCain. Why isnt sanders getting the old age jokes that McCain got. Also Trump should not be allowed to run as president because of wealth. I think only people who has an idea what true poverty and working class seems like should be allowed too run.

Because internet discourse is dominated by college age or just out of college people, who by and large, are extremely idealistic to an unrealistic fault. It suits them to make fun of McCain for his age, but not Sanders.

I think there's plenty of joking about Bernie Sanders being a cranky old man. Dude's being played by Larry David on SNL.

Maybe I am not not paying enough attention cause Saturday Night Live has not been funny since the Will Farrell class. And also I really dont see any great hope in helping our major problems and if I voted for Hilary my dad would come out of the grave like a scalded cat.

www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/02/22/younger-votes-didnt-come-through-for-bernie-sanders-because-they-almost-never-do/Didn't I bitch about this 2 years ago during the mid-term election? Yup. I did. Young people, for the love of God, get off your computers and phones and VOTE. Stop using the Internet as a way to relief stress. School and work pissing you off? Buy a punching bag. Use the Internet to get informed - make sure you're getting the correct information - and then take time from your schedule to vote. Bitching on the Internet changes nothing. Protests change nothing. VOTES is what changes things. Well... that's not entirely true. Our politics are so fucked up that votes don't entirely change things, but they do LEAD to changes. So, young people, stop supporting Bernie Sanders online and do it where it matters: the voting booth.
