There are rumblings that Trump will refuse to sign the budget bill if it doesn't include funding for his wall. Since there's even less support for his stupid wall in Washington than there is for Trumpcare, I look forward to the fireworks. Republicans have nothing to gain by funding it. Their constituents don't want it, and Trump spent his entire campaign insisting that the American taxpayers wouldn't have to pay for it.

Well I'd say the shit is about waist deep on Flynn and rising.
The former National Security Chief apparently did not disclose, apparently from what we know, that he received @ $33,000 from Russia to speak at a gathering that Putin also attended. The payment was paid through an institution that is government run.
Flynn also received @ $500,000 from the Turkish Government as a representative of and for the interests of Turkey. He sort of "retroactively" registered as a representative of a foreign government.
Both of those actions, apparently, broke the law because a military person who can be called back to active service, such as a general, cannot take money from a foreign government. (The leader of Turkey BTW has recently taken a big step away from being the closest and only Middle Eastern country that is a democracy. He just made constitutional changes that give him broad powers to basically do what he wants)
Furthermore, to not disclose those things on the official statements to become a cabinet member in the White House, is also against regulations for any White House position - even prep cook.
So...when the Security Council asked to have his paperwork, the White House gave every excuse they could think of as to why they couldn't hand it over.
In other developments, some changes have been made in the insurance plan to make a couple of leaders of the Freedom Caucus change their vote, but there are still probably not enough to pass the bill.
And Trump's budget includes huge tax breaks for businesses and the rich. Nothing for the poor...again.
And then there's this...
Of 556 key positions requiring Senate confirmation … 470 No nominee 40 Awaiting nomination 23 Formally nominated 23 Confirmed
Less formal nominations than the last four presidents by 100 days in office.
112 appointments need confirmation

Well, Trump backed down on his threat to veto an funding bill without money for the wall in it. To make things even more interesting, it's come to light recently that his wall may be nigh impossible to build. There is a 1970 treaty between the US and Mexico which states that any barrier built by either nation near the border CANNOT be constructed on a flood plain without the express permission of other. The border fence that Dubya Bush put up in Arizona violated the treaty, which the Mexican government let go at the time because Dubya assured them that the fence would cause no flooding issues because the US would keep it clear of debris. To the surprise of nobody, the US did not in fact keep the fence clear of debris and it caused flooding in the Mexican towns across the border. Mexico is now saying that they will not accept a barrier of any kind along the border on a flood plain.

So... There's a small business tax break in Trump's tax plan.
Too bad it doesn't really do anything for actual single ownership small businesses. The businesses it will benefit are really small businesses with corporations or share holders behind them.
The tax plan release was only one page and only contained 7 figures, so the experts doing calculations on the effects can only give a vague idea of the results.
I guess the subsidies from Obamacare are staying in the insurance plan, so the whole Freedom Caucus is now in favor of it??? There are still a lot of maybe's and no's
All this tax cutting seems to point to a loss over 10 years of at least $6,000,000,000,000 to the deficit. The economic growth rate (currently at @ 2%) would have to be at least 4% in order for all of this to work out, and according to one expert, that is not going to happen ( historically the idea that wealth will trickle down has not usually worked).
In order to keep the government from shutting down this weekend, Congress is working on a stop gap bill to extend the deadline for a short while.
Oh, and Trump should really have a constitutional law expert by his side so he can figure out if he wants to announce something, he will know if it breaks the law before he opens his fat mouth. His latest announcement was that he wants to break up the Ninth Circuit. The judges who have ruled against his immigration ban again, and the ones he has mistakenly blamed for stopping his defunding of sanctuary cities.
EDIT The House Oversight Committee just released a statement about Flynn and the Whitehouse cover up. The Trump has no real reason for refusing to present papers on Flynn, which have to exist according to procedures. Flynn was advised upon his retirement from the military that he was required to ask permission prior to receiving money from a foreign power, and there is no such paperwork to document that he asked. The Trump Administration has said, they have the documents, they don't have the documents, The documents were about the campaign before the appoiment, then claimed Executive Privilege. "Theyre playing games" said Representative Cummings of Maryland. They're probably about to execute a summons, and a subpoena to get to the heart of the matter. This mostly likely involves felonies.

DAE all Trump voters are racist homophones?!?!?!?!?
If you're going to present circlejerking as comedy, at least be funny about it. I heard laughter, but I missed anything resembling a joke.

"In just 14 weeks, my administration has brought profound change to Washington." Changing it from a swamp and flushing it down to the sewer?? Lol I pissed off another Trumpanzee yesterday by giving my assessment of the first 100 days. FLYNN UPDATE MSNBC did some fact checking, and as far back as the campaign, there were several media outlets that reported Flynn's activities with Turkey and Russia, and the fact that the FBI (who check everyone) mailed an official letter to Pence, the official in charge of the transition. The letter informed them about Flynn's activities, and that he had to register as a foreign agent, and should not be considered for any high security clearance position in the Whitehouse. Since that time, Trump, Pence, Spicer, and I think Sessions have all lied about knowing Flynn was ineligible. Trump has tried to pass the buck and claimed Obama was at fault because, 'he hired Flynn first and probably didn't vet him. How was he working for Obama? Oh, Obama vetted him alright, then he was fired for releasing a flow of classified information on Syria while urging Obama to act.

House votes for Trumpcare 217-213.
Will this cost Republicans the midterm elections?

Okay, economist mind on:
You can make a legitimate classical conservative argument that a private healthcare system, properly incentivised to innovate by a federal government, could do a better job in the healthcare system than the government provided healthcare could.
The problem is, Obama basically wanted to do that and got stonewalled by the republicans into the current mess as of two days ago. Not perfect, but still pretty good. Mandatory healthcare to deal with better preventative care, and a moral high ground of everyone being insured.
What the House pushed through isn't a solution. It's "Fuck you, I got mine."
I can only hope the Senate tries to make something more reasonable. They're supposed to be the more cautious legislative body. But that faith is waning in light of that body using the nuclear option on Gorsuch.
Stupid assholes.
I'd love a real, legitimate choice in elections that could support private innovation and not fuck over the common man. It's a pipe dream. So I'll settle for the guys that don't want to ban gay marriage, abortion, deport immigrants that haven't done anything wrong, etc. I still think a Clinton-type president is possible, probably MY ideal president--especially after Trump is gone.
What comes around goes around. Enjoy the Dems taking back control in 2018, and your impeached asshole Prez.

Or we can just have universal healthcare. They don't even have to raise taxes dramatically. Trim the military budget. We spend more on killing people than saving people. Not saying we should put our guard down during a turbulent time. Our military is already, like, 100x bigger than the nearest super nations. They can afford the budget cuts. We already pay for schools, police & fire departments, city maintenance, etc. You can make room for hospitals. I don't think anyone is asking for free physicians. I think that's the confusion here. If you need to go to the doctor for a check up or whatever and have to pay for it, that's fine. The issue is serious medical problems like surgeries and illnesses. I shouldn't need to go backrupt because I got sick. That's like if your house caught on fire and you had to personally pay the firefighter or if you were victim to a crime and had to pay the cops. Heath care should be a human right in a civilized society. The government works for us. We need to fire all these idiots who are working against us.

Yeah, so that was a foolish beer party and celebration in the rose garden, huh?
The bill has to pass the Senate and they only have to get something like two no votes for it to fail. If they don't bother to try and fix it. So if it passes the Senate in a drastically changed form, it then has to pass a bipartisan committee, and then go through the House and Senate again before it even reaches Trump's desk to become law.
So what were they celebrating? Nothing.
