88. Meet the Robinsons (Disney)There are the tiniest glimmers of an almost Miller and Lord sense of humour with the film's villain, but Meet the Robinsons plays like any other crappy family movie from the 2000s and the fact that this was a big improvement over Disney's two prior films is a damning indictment of how far the animation giant had fallen.

You really committed yourself to watching a ton of garbage here.
I'm impressed.

If you think Meet the Robinsons is the worst movie I've sat through, you are sorely mistaken.
You have a ways to go.

I have a little bit of a soft spot for Meet the Robinsons, not much of one as it would probably only be a slot or two higher on my list if I made one, but any movie whose villain is an evil hat cannot be completely bad in my book.

87. Pocahontas (Disney)This movie has some good things. The animation is confident and a lot of the music is nice...but the whole project is just so misguided. Even ignoring the abject stupidity of making a Disney movie about settler-colonialism, the characters are boring and the story is completely lacking in narrative drive. Forget being in poor taste, shit's straight-up boring.

Disney's Peter Pan sucks, Hook sucks, the stage plays suck, by all account Pan sucks... I don't think there's ever been a good entry in this whole accursed franchise. It's a bad story and people need to get over it. The Johnny Depp Peter Pan movie is good.

That's just a biopic of the dude who wrote Peter Pan... and it sucks, one of the lamest Oscar nominees in recent memory.

86. Cars (Pixar)Here is where the list shifts from movies that are horrible to movies that are really mediocre and almost aggressively boring. Enter Cars. For a film often held up as Pixar's most insultingly pandering to tiny children, it's mostly just dull. I don't think I need to talk about the boring story or how stupid the film's world is, but I do wanna highlight how random the casting of Owen Wilson is. Pixar usually cast their films perfectly but Wilson does not feel right in this role.

Cars is annoying and the most creatively bankrupt series Pixar has to be sure. But... Chicken Little is such an incredibly obnoxious movie that never works. And what the hell is up with that animation? It's fucking terrible. Home on the Range is only marginally better. Though maybe it's worse because it has Roseanne, as the lead! Hard to know what's aged worse between that choice and Chicken Little's animation.

Nah, I watched all three of those earlier this year because they're some of the few Disney animated films I hadn't seen, and while Brother Bear totally sucks it didn't actively piss me off like the other two. Except I really hated the aspect ratio they went with for the first portion of the film. Whose awful idea was that?

It probably made sense in an actual theater, where you'd have the image on the screen really "pop" once he turned into a bear, a bit like when Nolan movies shift into IMAX during the action scenes. Might have been more of a risk than that movie deserved.

It didn't work very well. At least start in 1.85 and go to 2.35 from there. I think the movie was in the old Academy ratio or something. I get what they were trying to accomplish, but even the transition is a pretty lackluster one.

I'm going to say Home on the Range is worse than Chicken Little. I get what Chicken Little wants to be, and you can tell at some point in the development stage someone highjacked that movie and shouted "BE MORE LIKE SHREK! MORE POP CULTURE! MORE!" and made the movie way more obnoxious than it needed to be.
Home on the Range I watched and was like...I don't know what this is. It was like they were intentionally trying to kill their 2D division.

I'm an "elder millennial" like Doomsday. Disney Renaissance is Little Mermaid to Lion King. Fuck everything else. But I know you and SnoBorderZero have to include Pocahontas to Tarzan. That makes Pocahontas even worse. It's by a wide margin the shittiest movie in the Renaissance. I'd rather have The Rescuers Down Under and Goofy Movie included in the Renaissance since Pocahontas set the bar so low. And that DuckTales movie that no one cares about.
