I have a question could Thor be mad in the trailer about the fact his lightning has no effect on the machines. What mean is could Thor look useless in the battle because Iron Man built Ultron to be able to obsorbe lightning or high levels of energy and Thor Is angry about him Stark using a weakness. And Stark makes the comment That his people were to blame for all that has come to pass.

The more I've thought about this, the more I like the idea that the main villains of The Avengers films have strongly related to our core three heroes. Loki to Thor obviously and now Ultron to Iron Man. The threats don't seem quite as random as they might otherwise. Maybe they can unveil a big villain connection to Cap in one of the parts of the third film(s)... maybe Baron Zemo could be enough of a threat. Flashbacks to Cap taking on Zemo Jr. in the 40's, could be good.

The more I hear Ultron/James Spader, the more I can't wait to see this movie. He was definitely the right pick for the voice of one of the most dangerous villians The Avengers have to face.

Agreed. This trailer really offered us no new information other than more of James Spader's voice. It's pretty much extended scenes of the first trailer. Still excited though!!

Yeah I'm with you guys, meh on the trailer in general but still amped for the movie. I honestly don't know what it is about the trailers, I can't put my finger on it but they're so off for me. Maybe its the lack of conventional "quick action packed edits to lively trailer music" scheme. However, I am so here for Natasha backstory. I still maintain that half of this stuff is hallucinations but give me ANYTHING RED ROOM. And as much as people like to think Scarlett's not an incredible actress, I have to give her props on the one shot before the hand pushes her down. If that IS a Red Room flashback of any kind she conveyed just how young and vulnerable Natasha could've been before escaping to SHIELD. We never see that blatant kind of vulnerability and youth on Nat's face. Ok I'm gonna go collect myself now. |

I think there is a lot they're not telling us about this yet. And I don't mean that in the normal sense of "we're four months away from the film's release, of course there are things they aren't telling us." With the trailers for the first Avengers, I feel like we sort of had a lot of the plot down pretty pat right around this time. Fury was going to round up the troops, they were going to fight Loki and his army, there was some shit on the helicarrier and in New York. There were tidbits we didn't know, but we had the gist of it. The only real surprises I remember while watching at the theater were Hulk smashing Loki around and obviously the Thanos reveal at the end.
I feel like I don't know anything about this yet really other than that the Avengers are again banding together to fight (presumably) Tony Stark's creation Ultron. Banner probably gets brainwashed or something and fights Iron Man as well. There's some stuff at a snow fortress, maybe where Ultron's troops are manufactured, I don't know.
I just get the feeling there are big things they haven't hinted at.

I like that they aren't dropping big hints. Leave a mystery. Please. I avoid a lot of trailers because I'm told they reveal too much. Or totally skew what the movie actually is.

I can't say I'd put her on the top shelf but honestly, she's served this role very well and played it in ways that are more nuanced than I thought they were going to allow this characters to be. |
