I'm making my way by year through the They Shoot Pictures Don't They top 1,000 list (not watching each film but high rated ones, ones by certain directors, or any that pique my interest) and Criterions, and I'm enjoying it. I'm on 1954 on Criterion and 1959 on the top 1,000 while mixing in random films, my Netflix queue is jampacked. Criterion is just the shit, even if not all of their films are homeruns I generally get something out of each of them. I really need to start buying their Blu-Rays, I've been eyeing "Badlands" and "Days of Heaven" for some time now.

5. Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo (1984) *.5 A classic. Lol, I woke up at 5am this morning and it was on Starz, right at the beginning. How could I not watch? It did pioneer the "Dancing Youths Must Dance To Save Their Turf From The Evil Corporation" genre, unless there's another film that came out before it that I can't recall. The dance numbers do have a bit of energy for their time, and there is the classic Fred Astair tribute performed by Turbo. The acting is standard 80's B-Movie affair, but the characters were likeable enough. Had I passed by the channel 5 minutes later, or had it been an hour later in the morning, I probably would've passed.

NiladeWhen you're adding a new movie to your tracked list, just edit it into your original post. It gets a little redundant and spammy posting a larger and larger list.

53. The Broadway Melody- F02/1154. Cimarron- D-55. Grand Hotel- D+02/1256. You Can't Take It With You- B-57. Marnie- C02/1358. All the King's Men- BI see you're knocking out some Best Picture winners. Yeah, those first three on there are a slog to get through, I disliked each of them as much as you did. It gets better.

"The Last Emperor" is the only one to get excited for out of those, but at least the worst is behind you already.

Yeah, I'm glad I went through them, but man some of them were painful to sit through. I apologize in advance for "Gigi", get ready for some cringe-inducing sequences of creepy music numbers!
