The Inhumans is completely off the slate for the moment. Was originally in Phase Four, which it could still end up being, but is presently without a release date. Some have theorized that with The Inhumans taking a big presence in Agents of SHIELD, Feige has lost a bit of his desire to get the movie made. Although the last thing he said on the matter is that the movie will still be happening, but with all the other new movies added (Spider-Man, Ant-Man) it's been pushed for the time being. |

Marvel is trying too hard in the comics and the film's to make the Inhumans be the stand-ins for mutants, because they don't have the X-Men rights.
It's no small secret. They've been downplaying the X-Men and the Fantastic Four in recent years in the comics, hoping if the public interest wants they get the rights back.
The other possibility is they feel like they are close to getting the Fantastic Four rights back. Which, cool. The In humans really only work in the context of the FF.

It's debatable as to whether it's actually happening or not. While it's true that the Fantastic Four have been relegated to guest appearances, this isn't anything controversial. The FF haven't been a top selling title in decades. Lots of characters who had long running solo titles for decades eventually ran out of steam, such as Namor and Dr. Strange. There are still loads of X-Men titles being published today, just as there have been since the early 90's such as Uncanny X-Men, All-New X-Men, Extraordinary X-Men, X-Men '92, Wolverine, Old Man Logan, and Deadpool. There's also the Uncanny Avengers, which features several X-Men as members of Marvel's premier superhero team. Where things are more noticeable is on the toy isles and Disney XD. There has been a noticeable lack of X-Men related merchandise on store shelves for the past several years. The last X-Men animated series was cancelled when Disney purchased Marvel. Ever since, only Wolverine and Deadpool have shown up as guest stars on other heroes' series. Still, it's not uncommon for there to be a lull between series, and it could be argued that there are already plenty of Marvel based animated series on Disney XD. The lack of FF based toys or animated series isn't really noteworthy, as they haven't performed well in decades. |
