Leo kneeling down to get whipped really showed his age too. Got down and up like the old man he is - I could hear the cracking through the screen.
And stairs are clearly deniros nemesis at this stage in his life.

Alright, Sno. Reading time. Have you seen him lately? He's attached to multiple projects. He's always busy. Wouldn't be surprised if he rattled off a few more films before he retires.
Boxcar Bertha was a masterpiece. Hardly even count that one because it's more a Roger Corman movie than a Scorsese one. But, sure, if we count Fear and Desire for Kubrick then we can count Boxcar Bertha for Scorsese. No one is putting this in their Top 10. Mean Streets Taxi Driver Raging Bull The King of Comedy After Hours Goodfellas Cape Fear Casino The Departed The Wolf of Wall Street Tell me what you’re taking out, sir. Is this better than Kundun?! Bro, you put Cape Fear on your top 10 list. Absolutely not. I've seen all of Scorsese's films and, yes, I believe this is in his top 10. For sure above Cape Fear and After Hours. I'd have to think about it. As I wrote, Scorsese's filmography is perhaps the most consistent in terms of quality and quantity of any director ever. All this praise and you still ranked Oppenheimer higher. Cillian of the Flower Moon

Bro, you put Cape Fear on your top 10 list. Absolutely not. The only Scorsese movie to be a prime-era Simpsons episode. I think you’re in the minority here, Bud.

It's not even the best version of Cape Fear. Let me guess. You also prefer the other Departed.

The only person DiCaprio killed was the private investigator. But humorous observation nonetheless.

He was certainly an accessory to murder on the house explosion and committed murder by hire on that "melancholic" guy. He'd certainly getting caught in the RICO on some of the other stuff if this were happening today.

Phenomenal. Going to reward on rewatches. The central relationship push/pull has symbolism for America's treatment of Native Americans as a whole, but it's utterly captivating.

I liked it quite a bit. A gripping story which would periodically shift gears to keep it fresh (such as the introduction of the FBI). What I mostly liked about it were how interesting most of the conversations in the film were. I liked Lily Gladstone quite a bit, and De Niro was really strong as the baddie. A small role which I liked a lot was the guy in the mustache who was the reluctant hired killer. Scorsese really plays on the duplicitous nature of the American settlers, and by extension human nature, in some really striking ways. There's a lot of great stuff in this movie and its would be tough not to be affected by it.
The only criticisms I have are that I was hoping for Molly to play a larger role in how things turn out at the end. I kept expecting a Walter White-like reveal for her that never really happened. I also do feel the runtime didn't need to be quite that long and could have used some trimming, especially with the trial stuff near the end.

Went to a Killers of the Flower Moon screening with my outdated phone camera and caught a Q&A with Scorsese, DiCaprio, DeNiro and Lily Gladstone. They asked DeNiro a grand total of one question.

Did you fall asleep next to Martin Scorsese? It was pushing 11:00PM, I was shocked they weren't asleep. Did you read that Scorsese article/interview where Marty revealed that working with Harvey Weinstein tempted him to quit the business? In that same article, Scorsese is described as a night owl, even at his advanced age. Apparently, Marty is still the last one to show up to work. During post-production of Killer Moon, everyone’s mindset was, “he shows up when he shows up.” The person doing the article/interview got there before Scorsese did. 11pm for Marty is 3 in the afternoon.
