Feel like we don't need a full thread for a lot of these movies, but some of the trailers make it look... Okay.
Up first the fresh trailer from the rogue one director - the creator:
The ai beings give me eldar Warhammer 40k vibes, the story isn't exactly brand new or original very much but... Shit looks effective I'll be there.

It's mainly for search options to keep things simple. If someone else watches the same trailer then creates a thread, or vice versa in a "Random" thread, we result in duplicate posts. Or if someone watches this movie and wants to see if anyone is discussing it, the natural thing to do would be to search for a thread on it. It would be better then to talk about it in its own thread than to try discussing it mixed in with a bunch of other movies/discussions.
As for the movie, I think it looks good, but my interest always perks up to almost any sci-fi. Problem is, a lot of sci-fi movies tend to have really interesting ideas that the director/writers don't know how to flesh out. More often then not, they don't know how to end them either. But I can almost guarantee I will end up watching it.

I kinda hate JD wash but he's slowly growing on me.
Hopefully Edwards was given a much bigger budget on this one.

The best thing that happened to Gareth Edwards was J.J. Abrams shitting the bed with Star Wars. Disney-Fox gave this dude a movie after Rogue One turned out to be the least embarrassing thing to come out of Kathleen Kennedy’s LucasFilm (other than Doomsday’s Baby Yoda show). |
