Yeah it deserves a third season. The show was really good with shifting points of view this season.
I empathized with John even after he shot Kevin. That's saying something.

They cast the Murphy family superbly - I was invested from episode 1.

Yup. I think they took a leaf out of True Detective's book for this season's music... That reminds me of this trying and failing so hard to be whoever the musician was from season 2 of True Detective. Trying so hard that it turns into a mumbling mess set to a depressing sounding guitar. Anyhoo, I've just been fast forwarding through the opening credits of season 2 of The Leftovers. I'm not giving the song time to try and grow on me. |

I listened to the theme all the way through for the first time. The best way I can describe it is a canadian goose honking rhythmically to country music.
Absolutely grating.

I rarely push shows on to friends. I have persuaded everybody I know to tune in to this this year.
It has been a revelation.

The music (minus the opening theme for season 2) has been great. That piano version of Where Is My Mind is spot on. It gives me goosebumps.
