Drac, assuming Power of the Dog wins Best Picture tomorrow will this be the first time one of your 'top ten of the year' lists hasn't featured a Best Picture winner? That will actually be the fourth time that's happened. The Kings Speech, Spotlight, and Green Book also didn't make our lists and Green Book holds the special distinction of being the only Best Picture winner to not get even a single vote during balloting, a feat that can only be matched this year if King Richard wins. Coda was one point away from making our list, so if that wins it will have at least been close. |

Wow, wouldn't have expected Kings Speech or Spotlight to have not made their lists. They're not the best movies ever but they were enjoyable and generally well received overall.
But that's really funny about Green Book. Go us!
And if only Phantom had switched his CODA and Licorice Pizza votes then both would have made the list. In fact Licorice Pizza would have remained at the same rank on the final list.

Sorry for missing it. My list would be very incomplete. I saw so few films that if I managed to build a Top 10, it may very well include movies I didn't even like that much.  |
