Trailer has some pop. I haven't heard of Invincible comics before but have to say it looks like a lot of every other comic book hero.

I've heard some good stuff about Invincible from the Weekly Planet guys. It's written by Robert Kirkman, who did the Walking Dead comics. I might give them a go at some point.

Very much enjoying this. Music is great cast is awesome and the action comes fast.
Much closer to the boys than the mcu.

The first episode is mostly boring, as it goes through the motions of who-gives-a-fuck superhero origins mostly earnestly. Then it pulls that final ten minutes out of its ass and it's like "You know that last half hour of bullshit you just watched? This show is no Saturday morning cartoon, so buckle up."
The next two episodes are legitimately great. I might just find myself more eager to watch Invincible on Fridays rather than Falcon and Winter Soldier.

Mantzoukas voicing a character cracks me up. I don't see that character as it's own entity, just an extension of Rafi from the league.
I've only gone through two episodes at this point.
Nothing really wowwing me, but it's above average.

Some of the voice acting in this show is a little stiff, but I'm still having a good time.

Yea they really wipe out supers pretty quickly, since we have no real connection or background to this story it's somewhat shocking.
Do kinda wish we would get a little further along in the story, reading the comics alongside kinda, the show is just jumping around all over the place.

I think Monster Girl is at least still alive. She seemed to be on life support at the end, and they could always wave it off with "Magic healed her."
I'm thinking Black Samson is out though, because he got fucked UP. And he didn't even have his power suit when it happened.

Agreed I don't like that's it's all a lister status on these, let the voice actors work too.
Feels like that was a kirkman decision though, he's always rubbed me the wrong way and I wouldn't be surprised if he was some sorta narcissist.
But I do love when the blue dude shows up and run the jewels kicks on. Excited for them to come back and mess shit up.

This was leaps and bounds better than FATWS. I'm happy they're getting two more seasons.
The animation in the finale is great, and I dropped my jaw a few times.

Great finale. Though the Robot/Monster Girl romance makes me uncomfortable.
If the wait for next season proves to be too long, I think I'll read the comic run. I just finished Boom Studios' Power Rangers run, so I need a new comic binge. Invincible might be the ticket.
