First SB pool victory! I paid off Mahomes in lotto tickets. Game was a bit of a cop out, Chiefs snowed themselves in with penalties in the first half. It seems defense is generally still dominate in the NFL even against lights out offense.

Needless to say I called that game wrong lol. The Chiefs' offensive line was a disaster and couldn't handle any of the blitzes that Tampa Bay threw at them. Mahomes didn't play well, but tough to have a good game when you have absolutely no time to throw and you're constantly on the run. Brady got the MVP, and deservedly so, but that game was won by the incredible defense of Tampa Bay. We've never seen Mahomes and the Chiefs that inept offensively. Impressive to say the least.
People are whining about the penalties. Maybe there were one or two that you can debate, but for the most part Kansas City just played a sloppy, unfocused game. Offsides penalty on a field goal attempt. Blatant pass interference tripping up Mike Evans on a ball he very likely would not have caught. And then of course Mathieu had a lousy game and then doubled down on his bad day by poking the beast and pissing off Brady. Congrats Honey Badger, you've know got your role in Brady's highlight reel of what not to do against the best. Guess he didn't watch The Last Dance to watch Michael Jordan shitting on anyone who even looked at him wrong.
Commercials were absolute shit. Halftime wasn't as over done or garish as some in the past (nothing will ever be worse than Adam Levine a couple years ago) but was also entirely forgettable and the sound production was terrible. Game was fun but obviously not the clash we all hoped it would be. Ate a lot of great food. All in all it was a pretty good, typical Super Bowl.

Man has a lot of energy for a 70-year-old. Trump can't even walk down a flight of stairs or hold a cup of water. Everyone did except for Bill Simmons who somehow stole the Sports Almanac from Back to the Future. thebtskink took his betting advice from the wrong source.
