Was there ever much doubt? Regardless of how one feels about the filmography of Kevin Smith, the guy isn't going to throw someone under the bus who hasn't earned it in spades.

I hope this doesn't negatively affect his career. I hear he's got some pretty sweet direct-to-streaming bargain bin movies for us to enjoy soon!

In all honesty, what was his last good movie? Hostage? Looper is probably the last universally acclaimed work he's done. Moonrise Kingdom, sure, but that's not really a Bruce Willis movie. Glancing at his career, it's actually pretty unremarkable. Outside of Die Hard and The Sixth Sense and maybe a small handful of a few others, he's made A LOT of total shit.

In his heyday he stood apart from Stallone and Schwarzenegger by making movies like Death Becomes Her, Pulp Fiction and 12 Monkeys. He also had other hits like Fifth Element, Armageddon and the Whole Nine Yards. Guy was a legit movie star. But yeah... he mostly sucked. He coasted on those Die Hard movies... and movies that riffed on Die Hard, like the Last Boy Scout.

Fifth element, 12 monkeys, whole 9 yards (fuck you it's hilarious), last boy scout, striking distance (burgh baby), pulp fiction. ( Neverending beat me to the post) Sad to see him become the old crotchety man he always was though.

Okay, that's definitely my bad for forgetting Twelve Monkeys, The Fifth Element, and of course Pulp Fiction. But still, it's not a very distinguished career and his filmography in the last decade mirrors Nic Cage's but minus Nic Cage so worse.

Bruce Willis just make bland direct-to-video action movies.

Like, for all his faults Bruce Willis is a significantly better actor than Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Van Damme, etc, you would think he would be able to transfer to non-action parts with a little more dignity. Like, if you had asked me in 1998 who would have the more dignified career in 2020 between Willis and Schwarzenegger I definitely would have guessed Willis, and while Schwarzenegger's career is a shadow of what it once was he has at least mostly avoided the direct to video death cycle.

Let's not say anything we can't take back, like shitting on Last Boy Scout for example.

We know Nick Cage makes these movies cause he’s in massive debt. It’s possible that Bruce Willis has made his share of poor business decisions. Let’s not forget he used to own Planet Hollywood. He might still be investing his money in some shitty places.

I think Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford need to costar in a movie to see who can act like they give the least amount of shits to be there.

Too bad, he had a unique presence on screen. It's hard for anyone not to have a favorite Bruce Willis movie.
