Bruce Willis

I hope this doesn't negatively affect his career. I hear he's got some pretty sweet direct-to-streaming bargain bin movies for us to enjoy soon!

In all honesty, what was his last good movie?

Hostage?

You can pry Red and The Expendables 2 out of my cold dead hands.

Probably Looper, depending on your mileage with Glass.

It might technically be Moonrise Kingdom.

In his heyday he stood apart from Stallone and Schwarzenegger by making movies like Death Becomes Her, Pulp Fiction and 12 Monkeys. He also had other hits like Fifth Element, Armageddon and the Whole Nine Yards. Guy was a legit movie star.

But yeah... he mostly sucked. He coasted on those Die Hard movies... and movies that riffed on Die Hard, like the Last Boy Scout.

Okay, that's definitely my bad for forgetting Twelve Monkeys, The Fifth Element, and of course Pulp Fiction.

But still, it's not a very distinguished career and his filmography in the last decade mirrors Nic Cage's but minus Nic Cage so worse.

Honestly I'm not sure why Willis feels the need to make these bullshit Direct to video movies, like, how does he not have enough money?  Like, for all his faults Bruce Willis is a significantly better actor than Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Van Damme, etc, you would think he would be able to transfer to non-action parts with a little more dignity.  Like, if you had asked me in 1998 who would have the more dignified career in 2020 between Willis and Schwarzenegger I definitely would have guessed Willis, and while Schwarzenegger's career is a shadow of what it once was he has at least mostly avoided the direct to video death cycle. 

We know Nick Cage makes these movies cause he’s in massive debt. It’s possible that Bruce Willis has made his share of poor business decisions. Let’s not forget he used to own Planet Hollywood. He might still be investing his money in some shitty places.
