NBC is shutting down NBCSN by end of year, and saying they will move NHL/NASCAR to USA.
But there are rumblings they will move some to Peacock instead. Grrrrrr.

Watching a fair amount of hockey and am surprised how many hooking and slashing penalties are being called. I'm not saying they shouldn't be, though there are some pretty weak ones. Its so black and white when you compare it to the clutch and grab era.

I already hope they keep this baseball scheduling naming forward. Lots more grudges, more divisional rivalries. This is great. I'm loving it too, except the darn PPD games. I get why they are postponed and support it just sucka to have that many games just washed off the schedule. I also anticipate more intensity and grinding as the season wears on. |

I watched the first game, Avs v Knights and it was good until the ice gave out. Guys on the ice having a lot of fun. Would love to be there at ice level.

I'm beginning to love Trent Frederic as a Bruins fan.
Kid has held his own or started fights with two of the toughest in the league with Wilson and Giroux.

NBC is out for secondary rights, and rumor is secondary rights will go to TNT. If they get two national networks, can only be good for the league. |

Absolutely dumb of the league to have not suspended Tom Wilson for his hit this time. I don't care if it didn't rise to the level of suspendable, a $5000 for his history is inexcusable. Dude is going to put someone out of the league with his dirty play, just like Matt Cooke.
I know the NYR lost each of those fights last night, but man was it satisfying seeing all those gloves drop.
I guess I'm the rube here then, and its clear that the NHL wants the self-policing for ratings. This game was all over Twitter.
One thing for certain, I want the league to keep the inter-season series MLB-style format going forward. It's such a great addition to the game.
