Long overdue in general, and in this case.
Her resume is legit.

Marlins have come a long way from when they hired their GM to be their manager that one season despite him being incredibly out of his depths doing so. Jeffrey Loria, what a fucking moron that guy was.

I know my news is more Blue Jays-centric, but I'm kinda laughing at how many news articles are spinning that rumor mill that the Jays are in the running for some big free agents. Sure, they have cap space but I don't see big name players tripping over themselves to play in Buffalo. They clearly have a young and progressively improving team but its not happening next year either.

Toronto has some good young pieces though and impressed last year. For some reason it's a hard sell getting guys to play in Canada, even though it's a massive city in Toronto and you're basically the face of an entire country. Worked for Kawhi Leonard in the NBA, don't see why it can't be the same in the MLB. Blue Jays are on the rise. They need more consistency from Guerrero Jr. and once that happens I can see players being interested in joining.

If there was a push between a collective of players, like in the NBA, where a few seemingly agree to sign on to one team and then mega boost the team, that is the only way the Jays could make a splash. If they could sign, say 2 upper echelon starting pitchers and another big bat, things would be great. Especially in the scenario where the young guns like Guerrero Jr. just keep getting better.

Well they did bring Ryu over from the Dodgers and it wasn't that long ago they had one of the premier offense in the league with Bautista, Encarnacion, Tulowitzki, etc. They're in much better shape than Boston and Baltimore and with some more development and additions could challenge New York and Tampa Bay in the near future.

That reminds me of the hilarious Onion article about the Washington Redskins changing their offensive name to the D.C. Redskins.

Still early, but we may get Schilling, Bonds, and Clemens in the HOF this year.
All deserving on statistics, and I don't care about steroids or someone's life outside the game.
And Shoeless Joe and Pete Rose should be in too.

Fired angels clubhouse guy confirms what we all knew... Spin rates are out of control and everyone's doing it.
Bit ridiculous, mlb should want the long ball back in the game, come down hard on these sticky finger bandits.
Or don't who cares my team will never smell a playoff birth much less even a 15 win starter.

Jays sign two, now former Astros, in Springer and Brantley. That's all fine and good but it's the pitching that's the problem. We need some good starting pitching! Ryu seems to be a lock but from there on it Pearson is the next one and he's very inexperienced. If we could get Kluber and Tanaka, that would help a lot. Yates is now signed too, hopefully he's OK after elbow surgery.
If the Jays want to win they need pitching, it's what wins playoff games.

Blue Jays are making the moves they need to make, building around their young core like we talked about some months ago. The team is on the cusp, and the Rays and Yankees both have weaknesses in their starting rotations that have them both vulnerable. Toronto is smartly making a push.

Funny you say Yanks have weaknesses in their starters. I just found out Kluber signed with them. I thought the Jays had a chance with him. Lol

Lol Kluber is a nice signing, but there's high risk-high reward with him too. He hasn't been healthy and he's exactly the pitcher he used to be. But, on a one year deal it's worth the gamble. Other than him there's Gerrit Cole and Luis Severino, so that's very strong obviously. But there's a lot of question marks with their starters and I don't think they'll bring back Masahiro Tanaka because he wants too much money.

Actually, George Springer is now in Blue Jays, but Michael Brantley went back to Houston Astros. He signs 2-years on his contract deal. And for George Springer, he just signs 6-years on his contract deal. Here's a link: www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/michael-brantley-re-signs-with-astros-on-two-year-contract-after-blue-jays-deal-fizzles-out/

No one elected to the HOF this year.
Steroid reckoning forced next year.
They should vote Schilling in, but only in the year after he dies.
