Netflix cancelling DVD service in September. I'm sure Dracula is thrilled. I am furious upon receiving this email. I've been getting DVDs from them since 2006 and it's my way of viewing the hard-to-find films that will never be available streaming. Considering terminating my Netflix account entirely. Hardly watch their original content and the movies they have streaming are all ones that everyone has seen several times (oh boy, they have Fight Club! Never seen that one!). Few classic and international titles. Netflix dropped the ball with this shit. I knew this day would come eventually, but it sucks. |

Honestly I'm not shocked, that service was going strong well into roughly 2020 but in the last two years it's plummeted significantly with turn times on deliveries becoming obnoxiously long and a lot of new releases not becoming available unless they're like the biggest of box office hits. Still, there's a LOT of stuff in there that's hard to find anywhere else and was one of the few places you could get certain new releases without going through studio paywalls. So this probably will make the things I do harder.
