The next night my Dad and I went to a Heavy Metal show full of Nu Metal gems like Disturbed, All That Remains, Korn, and Skindred.

So throughout my life I've only spent a grand total of a few hours in Texas. Some of those hours were spent when I landed in Houston (I think?), jumped in the car with my best friend and drove to New Orleans. Before we hit the road though we gassed up at Buc-ees and ho-ly shit. That place is magical. Absolutely magical. Row upon row upon row of junk food and each row endcapped with an Icee machine of any flavor you could think of. Dr. Pepper, Root Beer, cotton candy, you name it. They had a beef jerky bar, a fudge bar, it was as if a horny Chevron boned a drunk Disneyland and Bucees was the bastard offspring. I bought $50 worth of fudge because why the hell wouldn't I? It was white trash heaven and one day before my time is up I hope to step through their doors one more time.
