This girl needs to seriously reexamine her Pros list.  I can't imagine why she would think a slave would work fast.  Lack of freedom is beyond mere neglect.  The fact that a slave is provided the bare minimum to continue to survive and provide labor is not a perk.  Slavery is not the same thing as indentured servitude, although neither is a good idea.  People keep slaves in the modern world because they enjoy holding power over others or have a job that nobody would be willing to do otherwise.  Usually both.  I'm going to hope that she's very sheltered and generally clueless about the world.  If she's still in school, that seems pretty likely since the vast majority of slaves today are women being forced to do unspeakable things.  I expect her teacher followed up with a detailed explanation as to why she is completely wrong in every way.

Yeah there's a real lost opportunity there. Step your fucking game up Neverending come on.
