I never had a passionate opinion about Forrest Gump one way or the other. I rewatched it a few years ago and I thought it was alright. Sixth Sense though is a movie I enjoy, I don't think the blowback is on the movie as much as it's on M. Night Shyamalan, one of the biggest busts in Hollywood history. He went from 'the next Spielberg' to complete joke in just a few years. Sixth Sense isn't a top 100 film but it's still a really good watch from a director who peaked way, way, way, way, way, way, too early.

Sixth Sense was a cinematic phenomenon. The twist to end all twists. I think people underrate it now because M. Night's become a laughing stock but at the time it was awesome.
I was on a college trip to NYC when I saw it, it was that, Bats (lol) or Three Kings. I wanted to see the latter but it was a group decision and the Sixth Sense won out.
Our collective minds were blown.

Intolerance: Cut
This is an incredible spectacle film and largely improves upon all of the groundbreaking elements from The Birth of a Nation, giving us amazingly large-scale battle scenes and narrative cross-cutting that's still very impressive today. But at the same time, it's not as important a film as The Birth of a Nation nor is it as polarizing (for better and worse) and I feel that film was rightly removed from the 1998 list anyways. Also important to note that the "intolerance" that D.W. Griffith is addressing is the public's intolerance of Griffith's intolerance, so he might be the "father of cinema", but he's also a piece of shit.
Blade Runner: Keep
No-brainer.
