I don't disagree with the video exactly but I do take issue with a couple points, namely that humability should not be an arbiter of quality and also that having music do your emotional heavy lifting is not something that should necessarily be celebrated.

Of course composers don't like the idea of the music just being background noise, but it's a testament to better filmmaking that can stand as emotionally impacting and memorable, even without the music heavily fueling it.
Having said that, I do love memorable themes. How great a movie is and how often people watch it obviously can make a difference, of course. Like said, Harry Potter was immensely popular and had the same theme in 8 films over 10 years. James Bond even more so. The Star Wars movies, even if it were just the three original films alone, were a phenomenon in ticket sales and repeat viewings that the music became ingrained.
I can hum the Avengers theme without a second thought. That's the only one, admittedly, although a couple others if I think about it for a moment. As much as I love the MCU in general, I have not watched all of them repeatedly. At least no where near compared to the amount of Harry Potter films and James Bond films I've seen, or Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Some of the themes in the MCU have only been used in maybe a couple films, of which I've only probably watched a few times at most. Not to say any of the MCU films probably have anywhere near as memorable a soundtrack as those others listed, but I no doubt would be able to hum them off the top of my head if say, every MCU film had a single underlying theme song associated with all of them.
*I suppose if I was going to debate with myself after everything I just said, I would say that there are some movies that I have not seen multiple times, but I still remember the music quite well. The original Superman theme is one example, and of course that's from John Williams, who seems to make the most memorable scores of all time. While it's great to have, I guess I still wonder how important it really is. Ideally you would naturally want both, but if you could only have one or the other, I'm sure most would agree they would rather have a memorable movie in and of itself, than a memorable score.

The great thing about the three films that everyone recognized and ones like Edward Scissorhands and the Button Batman movies pretty much have a recognizable theme song for each major character. I always loved that aboút them.

Neverending beat me to it. Outside of The Avengers, Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World are the only other MCU films with memorable themes that are used to good effect throughout the films. I might also add the first Thor to the list. But I'm also in the boat of appreciating when blockbuster movies have those rousing, recognizable themes. It's something that has, unfortunately, been de-emphasized over the past couple of years for the most part. You still have your Man of Steel's, Inception's, Sherlock Holmes -- hell, even the Transformers movies have consistently good scores -- but the vast majority seem to be lacking them. And that point about temp music is kind of disheartening. Hearing a lot of those examples back-to-back is...interesting, to say the least.

May I remind everyone that the original Christopher Robin hated his father and was disowned by his mother for marrying his cousin.

I remember Hostage - great movie.
I want to watch The Rules of Attraction again, even though the abrupt ending drove me nuts.
