We almost got one 20 years ago with Clint Eastwood. By almost I mean not at all. Around 2008, I was tinkering with my own screenplay adaptation for it. It didn't get very far. Co-written by MasterChief. I think I remember that.

That was actually our attempt at a Dark Knight sequel, and let me tell ya...it turned out horribly. But I did bring him my Batman Beyond idea -- which was a trilogy. We got a whole treatment done, but barely any of the script. A year or two later, we revisited it and decided it might be interesting if there was a whole movie first dedicated to Bruce Wayne's final days as Batman, with Terry McGinnis in there as a significant supporting character. We'd spend that whole movie saying goodbye to Bruce under the mask and then by the end, Terry is offered the mantle in order to create a Beyond movie proper that'd hit the ground running. Masterchief and I liked that approach very much. We even had the title -- Batman: Legacy. But that was as far as we got.
If Batman Beyond does indeed get made, they should maybe look at the structure of 1998's Mask of Zorro for inspiration. I happened to re-watch that movie earlier this week and remembered just how damn good that movie is. You could plug in Bruce Wayne and Terry McGinnis into the Hopkins and Banderas roles from that basic plot structure and have it work.

I also wrote a Batman Beyond script in 2002. Let’s combine both projects and give it to Doomsday/ SnoBorderZero to slip under someone’s door.

Charlotte Kirk is the reward they give out for every Batman that signs up for this movie. They're waiting to hear back from Pattinson, Kilmer, Clooney, and Bale. Poor Adam West never got a ride.

Speaking of Adam West in a gang bang, I was listening to back episodes of Do Go On and a tidbit in their Batman episode mentioned West actually got kicked out of an orgy because he refused to break Batman character. That fact just popped into my head because of this.
