Easy there, Freddie.
Marty gets the job done, advancing to his first Elite 8. Next battle up shortly.

Battle of the Franchise Films
The Sweet 16
Regional Semi-Finals
Region 4, Battle 4
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Released: 2001 From: The Lord of the Rings Franchise Directed By: Peter Jackson Trailer Time:
Franchise Facts: During filming, most of the members of the Fellowship took up surfing in New Zealand in their spare time. Amongst them was Viggo Mortensen, who wiped out terribly one day and bruised one whole side of his face. The next day, make-up artists tried to mask the bruising and swelling, but were unsuccessful. Instead, Peter Jackson opted to film Mortensen from one side for the entire scene. In the Mines of Moria, when they find the tomb, Aragorn is only seen from one side in the whole scene. Versus
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Released: 2002 From: The Lord of the Rings Franchise Directed By: Peter Jackson Trailer Time:
Franchise Facts: In the wide shots of Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli running after the Orcs, all three performers are running injured. Orlando Bloom had a couple of broken ribs (from a fall off of a horse). Viggo Mortensen had a broken toe (from kicking the helmet in the Orcs funeral pyre scene). Brett Beattie (Gimli's stunt double) had a knee injury. Peter Jackson said that all three were very dedicated and continued to film the scene, often yelling "ouch" or "ow" after "cut" was called. My Vote: Two Towers

Lord of the Rings won't stop self cannibalizing itself.

Just in case everyone is getting confused, Two Towers is the one with Helm's Deep, probably the best sequence of the entire series. Go ahead and change your votes to Two Towers if you haven't already.

I used to always hold that the order I'd rank the LOTR films (all of which are 10's in my book) was 3-1-2. Had felt that way since 2003.
After a recent rewatch of the trilogy, I now go 1-2-3. While Two Towers has the best battle of the series in Helms Deep, I feel like Fellowship is the most impressive overall.
I mean, to cram that much exposition into the prologue alone that doesn't feel daunting but rather is exciting and sets the stage for the impact of the ring and everything the fellowship must overcome is some of the most impressive writing ever. Few films could accomplish all that in two hours let alone 5+ minutes. I think it had the most difficult job of setting the table while also providing enough depth to each character and does so wonderfully.
Anyways, I'm going with Fellowship of the Ring.

Having only seen each of the three in their entirety once, I remember more of Fellowship.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but after this tourney donny are you doing another batch of franchises to crown another winner? Lots of potential franchises to pick from to do a part two.

So yes, I do plan on doing another one of these, just as I plan to eventually get to another decade for Action movies. But I like the idea of changing things up, so the next tournament I will do is down to two different ideas in the final stages. I want to come back to the franchises though for sure.
