Back To The Future Part II. I might prefer Jedi overall between the two, but BTTF II's story structure makes it one of the most creative sequels ever.

I would argue that yes its creative, and quite influential in pop culture. But its also kinda dreary and ultimately boring.

Dreary? Sure, but that's part of the point of the plot -- and besides, aren't ALL second movies in trilogies arguably the darkest? But I can't possibly see how it can be called boring. Minute to minute, that movie is entertaining as all hell.
