Sonic was garbage.
I'll stream Wonder Woman if it comes to that, but I'd much rather see it in a theater.

That was inevitable. It made more sense for studios to cut their losses on stuff like The Invisible Man and The Hunt given that the former probably already made its budget back and giving a third release date to the latter was absurd, and Disney is probably desperate enough to keep people on Disney+ to burn Onward, but there was no way they were not going to pass up theatrical money on a $200 million dollar superhero movie out of sheer impatience.

The issue here is, what if this pandemic rolls into June? How many movies does Warner Bros push back? Chris Nolan's Tenet? Denis' Dune? Are we looking at a super crowded 2021 just so we can squeeze in Wonder Woman into the winter time? Marvel is in a similar predicament. How does delaying Black Widow affect the Disney+ shows? How does it affect Eternals, coming out in November? Does it delay the rest of their slate? Someone's gonna pull the trigger. If anything, Warner Bros has been the most patient of studios. They haven't moved Wonder Woman, Tenet, Godzilla and Dune. They're definitely playing the long con. My believe is they're hoping this pandemic is solved by June so Wonder Woman can be the first movie of the summer and the first nationwide release since March.

I would think that they would just move everything back a bit. They've had to shut down production on all their movies for next year, so those are going to have to be pushed back as well, so having these movies that are "in the can" ready to go should work out nicely for them.
It's possible that they mix a few things up like releasing Tenet as planned (if the crisis is over) so they don't have to start the advertising campaign all over again and then putting out Wonder Woman in Godzilla vs. Kong's slot or something like that, but throwing them out on VOD is basically flushing money down the toilet. Warner Brothers is owned by AT&T, who can probably afford to take a hit on their movie division for half a year.
Disney might approach things differently given how central Disney+ to their plans, but I doubt it.
If anyone is going to "blink" it will be for smaller scale movies like, I don't know, Antlers or New Mutants.

Postponing Wonder Woman to Godzilla vs. Kong's slot makes sense. It stands a better chance against No Time to Die than GvK. Then WB would just kick the latter film to a February or March release, which it was supposed to have this year.

Eternals is already scheduled for November Disney could very easily replace Eternals with Black Widow. If Wonder Woman is postponed it’ll either take Tenet’s date in July or Dune’s date in December or they cross their fingers and give September or October a shot. But as Dracula said, Wonder Woman is their biggest movie of the year and most likely want prime real estate for it. I can see Wonder Woman taking the Christmas spot from Dune. Aquaman did great on Christmas in 2018.

Yeah, my hope is that if this whole thing is over by July, Tenet can keep its date (though have they stopped post production on that currently?), and if Wonder Woman has been taken off of June, it gets Dune's Christmas slot and Dune goes to Spring 2021. WW84 probably can't claim November if either Eternals or Black Widow come out then.

It forces Wonder Woman to take Godzilla’s date in November and be sandwiched between Eternals and James Bond.

The studio heads are almost certainly going to meet up in a smoke filled room and make some gentleman's agreements about these release dates. It will probably be worked out.

I would say, "Go big or go home." but that is kinda what they're aiming for. I for one have no interest in seeing WW84 at home without having already seen it on the big screen.

Kino has the same problem as Criterion: no easy way to watch on your TV. It baffles me that these companies can't manage to playstation, xbox, or smartTV apps. I refuse to buy a damn Roku.

I can't confirm this, but I've heard that Sony is a nightmare to work with when it comes to app support. I use a chromecast for Criterion Channel and I think it's worth it. Obviously a PS4 app would be ideal since then I can access everything from one place, but if that's the price I must pay then so be it.
