After that trailer Ethan is like "bro, is it too late to make this a Coen Bros. joint?"

Why did Ethan not get in on this? Is he just tired of making films?

Why did Ethan not get in on this? Is he just tired of making films? I read in an interview with Joel that basically, yeah he wants to branch out and do other stuff. That doesn't mean he'll never come back to film but sounds like he's pursuing other creative endeavors.

What are all the film twitter jokes about a bad review about?
Feel like I'm missing an Armond White level bad take.

The noir look gives a new take and some gravity for sure. Interesting take to a story that has been recreated a ton already.

I'm hearing nothing but great things about this. PhantomKnight if you want to delve further into your Kurosawa film journey you should check out Throne of Blood before too long, it's his adaptation of Macbeth. It's on HBO Max.

Most likely next up for me is gonna be Kagemusha, since it was voted onto the AFI List.

Love a website that lists things in no discernable way whatsoever because alphabetical is just too hard.

My friends and I are thinking a couple hours before, but even then we might go earlier. It's a big theater, but it's Hollywood and it's free so I figure whenever we get there there's already going to be a swarm of people.

Q&As are either pretty good or the absolute worst. If there's a moderator asking prepared questions that can go okay. If they let audience members ask the questions they are dogshit questions 100% of the time. 'Why do you work with Frances McDormand so much' or 'Do you like black and white movies' or 'Is Denzel a nice guy' are the kinds of questions that an audience would ask. They really do make you question the society we live in.

They really do make you question the society we live in. I saw a screening of Dead Ringers at the Egyptian, and Cronenberg was there with Howard Shore. Every time someone had a question for Howard Shore, it was about Lord of the Rings. It got the point that Cronenberg annoyingly told the audience "enough Lord of the Rings questions! We just watched a movie, ask him questions about that one!"
