I hope it's better than the first one. The first was a Goonies with a scary clown and more dick jokes, I think the directors use of music with jump scares was defeating in a way, didn't heighten the jump with a loud bang. And some of the creatures created to scare the kids were just awkward looking not terribly creepy.
But I'll certainly be there opening weekend.

That funhouse mirror scene is new, and Jessica Chastain last night on Conan described a scene -- which you can see in this trailer -- where she's totally submerged in blood. I don't remember that from the book, either, so it seems like they're gonna be more open to including a few new touches, which can only help. |
