A good thing about Avengers 2012 is that it gives you a quick refresher. Ultron just jumps right in. If you didn’t watch or re-watch the previous movies you’re gonna be completely lost right off the gate.

Avengers 2012, Infinity War and Endgame were culminations. Ultron is just another MCU movie. This shouldn’t have been an Avengers film. It would have made more sense to have been Iron Man 3 instead of the pointless Mandarin plotline. It fails as an Avengers movie cause there’s really not much for the characters to do. It needed to be an Iron Man/Ultron/Frankenstein/Frankenstein’s Monster centered story. Wyldstaar, thoughts? |

Joss really dropped the ball with Ultron. He took a character with all kinds of emotional and psychological problems from the comics, and turned it into a generic killer robot with slight daddy issues. So much squandered potential.

Iron Man & Thor’s Shakespeare in the Park Royal Rumble is a series highlight. Also love the contrast between Iron Man/Cap/Thor in this scene and “the scene” in Endgame. PG Cooper, video essay? It’s the scene in which Loki manipulates everyone into fighting each other and Nick Fury reveals that SHIELD is building weapons using the tesseract cause Thor coming to Earth put the country in high alert.
