March 5, 2021 SnoBorderZero will celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the pandemic with his breakout movie. Now we need Doomsday to release Free Guy around the same time.

SnoBorderZero, does this mean you guys got extra time to finish reshoots/post, or is this a result on the deal for Amazon dragging on a bit longer?

SnoBorderZero , does this mean you guys got extra time to finish reshoots/post, or is this a result on the deal for Amazon dragging on a bit longer? We're in the middle of ADR right now so yeah it's to give us some more time. My hope is that the film will be as it should be, which is rated R, as a result of Amazon stepping in but I don't think I'll get my wish. Paramount is a clueless studio (I've made my case that they'll be defunct in 30 years) that pushed this to be PG-13 despite the original being made before I was even born so why the hell would teenagers and families be the target demographic? While the film is still funny I think their censoring and scene/joke cutting hurt the film. Amazon should be much less controlling and intuitive so I'm hoping that translates to the best version available for all of you.

Yeah, cause whenever they make PG-13 sequels to R-rated movies, they usually turn out so well.

Ooof. Yeah, cause whenever they make PG-13 sequels to R-rated movies, they usually turn out so well.It has never worked, ever, and I don't understand why studios insist that it helps box office. It doesn't. People going to movies today are families and adults. Teenagers don't want to be away from their screens and TikTok for ten minutes let alone two hours. This is a big reason why streaming services are making the poor decision making of bad studios like Paramount look worse and worse.

But if it's on Amazon the rating can't keep kids from seeing it can it? So why bother?

That's what I'm hoping, but we shot the film very PG-13 so I don't think there's much that can be done at this point to release it in its intended form unless they use some of the outtakes. If the project was with Amazon from the start, it would be the better R-rated version that we would've shot.

SnoBorderZero, Coming to America is airing on CBS. No royal penis in this version.

SnoBorderZero, I think 25% of Coming to America is insert shots of people smiling. Now that you have 6 months to “fix” the sequel, I hope you’re shooting/adding all the close-ups of character’s smiling.

Best part of Coming to America is the Don Ameche and Ralph Bellamy cameo. SnoBorderZero, use your reshoot budget to add in Dan Aykroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis.

SnoBorderZero what's the latest with Beverly Hills Cop 4? Anything you're allowed to share?

SnoBorderZero what's the latest with Beverly Hills Cop 4? Anything you're allowed to share? Things are quiet at the moment because of the pandemic. Eddie Murphy is a bit of a germaphobe as it is, so with everything going on he's not leaving his house for anything until the situation is under control. If we do start shooting it, it'll be late 2021 at best. I think everyone is waiting for the reception of Coming 2 America and going from there as well. Dolemite was a nice resurgence, and if there's an appetite for Coming 2 America that shows people are hungry for more of Eddie and his long dormant franchises then we should be full speed ahead for #4.

Tell Eddie Murphy that the world wants him to show Downey how it's done so he should do Dr. Dolittle 3 next.

I think what we really need is Yet Another 48 Hours... I'm not sure how much longer Nick Nolte has.

48 Hours would trigger people today. So would most of Eddie Murphy's comedy before, like, 1995. Conceptually, you couldn’t do 48 Hours. In the midst of “defund the police” you really gonna try to sell a white cop dragging around a black prisoner? People misremember 48 Hours as a buddy cop movie, but Eddie Murphy doesn’t play a cop nor are he and Nick Nolte buddies. 48 Hours is actually an incredibly mean-spirited movie. The sequel fixes that, but again, it’s a tough concept to sell in 2020/2021. Beverly Hills Cop makes more sense to bring back. Or as I told SnoBorderZero, the Golden Child. Cash in on that China box office.

Let's just say the Olympus Has Fallen series is a spin-off of 48 Hours, and the raving madman Nick Nolte character is just what his character from 48 Hours became. Then team up Gerard Butler with Eddie Murphy in the next one and call it Starpower Has Fallen.

He wasn't making very interesting fare, so it makes sense. But it's yet another asset that Paramount is losing with nothing and no one compelling to replace Bruckheimer with.
Did I say they'd be defunct in 30 years? I'll change that to 20.
