That's why Robin Williams had to be serious to win. I can't imagine Williams had any notion that the little movie he was making written by these two punks would be the role that would end up defining him, 180 degrees at odds with everything that'd made him a success up until that point. Remember the Titans still gets to me. God that whole movie was a emotional roller coaster when I was in 9th grade.
Also "Big Fish" is such an emotionally charged film, and so underrated.

I don't hate it, but I was well into film snobbery when I saw it and it seemed like a standard sports movie in a number of ways and I resented the fact that I had to watch it in something like six different classes over the course of my education. |
