I don't think even this would get me to subscribe. Past attempts to restart a TZ have all fallen short of the mark

It got me to subscribe, but none of the episodes have necessarily wowed me yet. 1, 2, and 4 I've liked (with the most recent possibly being my favorite thus far), but 3 was a bit too on-the-nose and played out pretty much how you'd expect it to. Still waiting for that first great episode from this.

Renewed for a season 2. Must be getting solid viewing numbers.
4 sucks too. But the trailer for 5 has me coming back....

This show is awful. I watched the plane one last night and it makes absolutely no sense. Poorly written, no suspense, nothing. And that was the highest rated one on IMDB. Yikes.
Especially in comparison to a show like Black Mirror, this is a total waste of time.

Yea I'm really just hate watching at this point. They have to fire all writers for season 2 right?

From what I've read the problem is that Peele is only half-heartedly involved. The worst Black Mirror episode would be considered a total triumph here.

Nope, even John Landis causing literal deaths for the sake of a sweet helicopter shot is better than this.
Kidding, kidding... Oh wait, 1983 isn't too soon, fuck it I stand by my statement.

I have to revisit it, haven't seen it in awhile. I probably have a better memory of the shitty Tower of Tower ride movie Disney made to be honest. Most anthology movies suck. In fact, is there a really strong one where most if not all the segments are solid? Sounds like a new thread for you to delve into.

With Steve Guttenberg and Doomsday favorite Kirsten Dunst?! That better be on Disney+. Oh! And remember Mickey Rooney in the Phantom in the Movie Theatre? Lol. Or a PG Cooper video essay.

The John Landis segment owns. The Spielberg one is the bad one.

The John Landis segment owns. The Spielberg one is the bad one. John Landis did also direct the intro with Dan Aykroyd & Albert Brooks, which is a highlight of the movie. But really, the crowning achievement of that movie is the George Miller directed airplane segment with John Lithgow. If anyone can out-do Shatner it’s freaking Lithgow.

I won't miss it too much, though I am kind of surprised given that CBS All Access/Paramount+ is probably pretty desperate for content.
