Let whatever was unsaid remain unsaid. It won't help you, she just wants to say something to make herself feel better before she leaves it in the past. This is all a selfish thing of her own conscious.

Don't meet her, stay the course and refuse communication. She's the past. Act like it.

Tell her you found Neverending and he fills that void of making your life miserable and you don't need her anymore.

Don't do it. If this affected you that long why bother dredging up those feelings? How could it ever end positively?

Block her email and phone numbers - you'll be better for it.

And go to work tomorrow. Keep your mind off it.

Well now we gotta know how this played out

I don’t think anything good will come from this. She’s leaving the state, she has two kids, it doesn’t seem like there’s anything to be gained. You might get some closure but you might also feel sore about it afterwards.

And ya know something, she doesn’t deserve you, skink!

I went this morning, against all of your advice.

We only had 20 or 30 minutes, much that i wasted in small talk about our jobs. I think she sensed my general depression in our lives before, and she wanted to see how I was holding up. I got an explanation and apology for the meanness.

The inciting incident on my part was minor (speeding up in a crosswalk when we were jaywalking and a car came), but in the moment it threw her back into her husband and a basically immediate pregnancy. If there wasnt that, we agree we could've made it further.

The meanness when I tried solving things was allegedly to make me hate her and move on out of care for me, since she was going to keep the kid. I disagree with the method but walked out with a better understanding.

We both talked about how much our time together still matters to us, she had to leave back to work. I emailed her to say thanks when I got home.

As much as I am very socially anxious and a complete fuck up when it comes to trying to start back up my dating life, that's on me not her. I'd thought I needed therapy for a bit, she encouraged me to try.

I feel I got some closure, but I wish it were longer.

I did get the parting gift of knowing I'm still in her fantasies. I think that'll boost my confidence and motivation elsewhere.

Good for you dude. In the end, as long as you're happy with how things stand and feel better about yourself (as you should!) that's what matters.

After countless hours doomscrolling or avoiding work, I am confident in saying there has never been any Facebook Reel of value.

Yeah, my PCP referred me to an ENT, and I've just been waiting to hear from them so I can make an appointment. They finally called me today, so I can finally go and see them in three weeks. 

 

It's the last movie I need to watch for my AFI Top 10 list.  I know a few critics have given it some praise here and there but everyone I know in real life has said it's a piece of garbage.  Not really looking forward to watching it all that much.

I watched the first 15 minutes or so of Being the Ricardos but then got derailed.  I'll go back and finish but I couldn't help but think that Nicole Kidman looked like she was wearing a wax mask some of the time, it was kinda weird to see.
