Is it just me or does anyone else seem to remember watching the same episode Saturday after Saturday waiting for the new ones that never came.

Is it just me or does anyone else seem to remember watching the same episode Saturday after Saturday waiting for the new ones that never came. Well, Saturday morning cartoons only had thirteen episodes per season at the most, and X-Men was no X-ception. The first season in particular had an X-tremely slow roll-out. Even after they were finally done, that's 13 episodes divided by 52 weeks = lots of reruns.

Yea, it just seems funny looking back. It was almost like every Saturday was that damn Phoenix Saga.

I remember when it was ending my family was on vacation in Washington/Portland and me and my brother were scrambling to find it on their local channels.

The creators of X-Men: TAS are putting together a pitch to Disney that would bring the series back to television, which would pick up where things left off back in 1997. link

I imagine a lot of people are approaching Disney. I'm sure people pitch ideas to Disney all the time, and nobody ever hears a word about it. In this case however, it's a pitch from a group associated with a known property that was highly successful at the time, and continues to be remembered fondly today. I'm not saying anything will come of it. In fact, I doubt anything will. One can hope, though.

If they can repurpose the 60's Spider-Man theme, they can repurpose the 90s X-Men theme.

It's amazing to see that this is actually happening. That X-Men '92 revival comic a couple years back must have been pretty popular.

It's amazing to see that this is actually happening. That X-Men '92 revival comic a couple years back must have been pretty popular. Nope. It didn't even last a year, actually. That doesn't really matter, though. What qualifies as popular in comics is a very low number these days. Despite the popularity of movies and TV shows based on comic book properties, that doesn't really translate into increased comic book sales. What's popular in comics also has little or nothing to do with movie ticket sales. I strongly suspect that the most important factor in X-Men '97 being given the green light is that Kevin Feige is a fan of X-Men: TAS. He has the authority at this point to do pretty much whatever he wants, and a continuation of a series that continues to be popular after more than twenty years is a very safe bet.

The show has been on Disney+ since day one. It likely pulls in strong numbers for them.

I know nothing about the voice actors, are any of them still working? Still alive? We all remember it vividly but a lot can happen in 30 years.

From what I've read, everyone who is still alive was offered a role in the revival. Of the ones who opted to sign on, those whose voices haven't significantly changed with age are going to be playing the same roles, while others who can no longer sound the same way they did a quarter century ago will be playing different roles.

Alyson Court is very much alive and very much naked (if you know where to look). She played Lydia on Beetlejuice and Jubilee on X-Men. She also gave PG Cooper his first boner:
