Flatline was decent. The moon episode might be one of the worst episodes I have ever seen. Me too, I felt an awkward feeling...and it is because of that episode..:-(

I'm going to be binge watching the whole new season when I get home. I'll let you all know what I think. Glad to hear that Jenna is going to stay on for a bit longer.

Good to hear. She started off so well, but recently they've pretty much made her resent the Doctor more and more. I want her to get back to that feeling she had when she knew Smith's Doctor. She needs to believe in him again. Do that, and she's welcome to leave. lol.

So the Christmas episode felt like Moffat watched Inception and thought, "I can do that!" As if no one would notice.

No, he watched Alien and The Thing, and then referenced them late in the episode to make the ripping off OK.

It's rare and often a mistake (Unless it really fits the story) to recast everyone at the same time a new Doctor comes aboard - carry over is what marks it's continuity in a different manner than most stories

No, he watched Alien and The Thing, and then referenced them late in the episode to make the ripping off OK. Moffat's Christmas episodes have so far been: A Christmas Carol - Obvious reference is obvious. The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. (I don't remember a wardrobe in the episode) The Time of the Doctor - Original I think but really rubbish and possibly the worst Christmas special ever. Last Christmas - Alien/The Thing if they were Inception nightmares?
Russell T Davies might've been awful but at least he was original. I would quite like if Davies would write an episode under another head writer. I'd also like if Moffat would step down as head writer but keep writing the The Girl in the Fireplaces or Blinks or even Listen, where did that come from?
It's hard to rate the worst episode from this season because a lot of them were bad but two of the worst, Into the Dalek and Time Heist, had TWO writers (Moffet was one both times) and neither stopped the other and said, "This needs a rewrite, it's drivel!"

The wardrobe was the Tardis.
And yeah, Moffett is out of ideas.

That was the worst Christmas special I've seen in a while. It's episodes like this that make me miss Smith even more.
We had to go inception really?

Bummer. lot of fans just got their bubble burst (including me) - Moffat has said that he did not think a spin off of the Paternoster Gang (Mdm.Vestra, Jenny, and Strax) would be a sustainable idea for a show.
“I’m always slightly worried that you can’t keep repeating the joke,” Mr Moffat said to Doctor Who Magazine. “And there’s always talk of the spin-off, and the Beeb would do it in a heartbeat… but… I dunno.”
So, it sounds to us like it’s Moffat’s worries that have slowed down/halted the idea of a spin-off for Vastra, Jenny, and Strax, rather than the opinions of BBC bosses. Moffat went on elaborate a little: “The moment you start relying on something, you should probably throw it away.”
Using the example of River Song, Steven Moffat then explained how he doesn’t feel companions or side characters should stick around for longer than necessary. “I always kind of feel that nothing should stay in the Doctor’s life. You can have River for a few years, but then River has to go,” he said.

I think it's a great time to bring Susan back! It would be nice to visit the character and see what happened to her and the guy she fell for in the Dalek resistance movement.
Peter Capaldi Wants A Classic Doctor Who Character BackThe Doctor Who that’s currently seen on television may be a revival of the classic series that ran from 1963 to 1989, but it hasn’t forgotten its roots. From mentions of old adventures to even glimpses of past regenerations, the modern Doctor Who likes to remind audiences of the franchise’s long history. There have even been a few old companions who have appeared on the new series and its spinoffs, and now series star Peter Capaldi is keen on a particular classic character returning in the future: The Doctor’s own granddaughter Susan Foreman, who hasn’t been seen since the show’s earliest years. Carol Ann Ford, who played Susan from 1963 to 1964, recounted to Doctor Who Magazine (via CultBox) her visit to the Doctor Who set when they were they were filming the 2014 special “Last Christmas.” There, she got to see Capaldi in action as the Twelfth Doctor, and while she admitted that she initially didn’t like the way he was written earlier in the season, she enjoyed meeting him. Then Capaldi expressed his interest in her returning, which she would be open to doing. Susan’s last regular Doctor Who appearance was in the 1964 story “The Dalek Invasion of Earth.” There she fell in love with a resistance fighter from the future. Rather than force her to continue traveling with him, The First Doctor decided that she was a grown woman that deserved a life on her own, and emotionally left her behind. Ford later reprised a younger version of Susan in 1983’s 20th anniversary episode “The Five Doctors,” and in the years since has appeared in various novels and audio plays as well as the charity special Dimensions in Time, though most stories outside of the TV series are traditionally considered non-canon. In other words, it’s been a long damned time since her grandfather bid her farewell. Yeah, I can understand why Capaldi, being the classic Doctor Who fan that he is, would want her back. Although Susan has rarely been mentioned in the revived series (though you could briefly catch a glimpse of her in the episode “The Name of the Doctor”), The Doctor has said before that any family he had is either missing or dead, presumably from the Time War. However, due to the events of “The Day of The Doctor”, The Doctor’s home planet Gallifrey was never destroyed at the conclusion the War by his hands, but instead now rests in another dimension. Few Gallifreyans have appeared in the revived series other than The Doctor and his nemesis The Master because of this, but assuming that Susan wasn’t involved with the Time War and hasn’t passed away, there might be a way to bring her back at some point. The only problem with this might be explaining her elderly appearance given her Gallifreyan biology, but the writers could surely come up with a timey-wimey explanation for why the decades haven’t been as kind to her as they usually are to The Doctor. Doctor Who Season 9 is set to air on the BBC (and BBC America for U.S. viewers) later this year.

I liked it over all for the most part.
