Are you telling me we didn't have a Doctor Who thread already?! Flatline was good, there were problems but I liked it as a whole.
Going back a week to Mummys on a Train or what ever it was called. I liked that episode too. I just really REALLY hated that the train was in space. There was no need for that. Either A) Set it on a space ship/station or B) Set it on a train with train tracks!

Yeah, I really liked Flatline. But enough with the weird and wacky monster episodes.

Yeah the Titanic in space was weird too. Weird and Wacky Monsters? Isn't that what Doctor Who is all about? lol (They have dangerous trash cans with plungers and wisks for gawd's sake lol)

Flatline was decent.
The moon episode might be one of the worst episodes I have ever seen.

Well that was interesting up to a point.
Only two more episodes in a two part season ender!

Yeah it was rather all over the place - one finding the new Doctor and two wrapping up Oswald - with a weird Missy thing tossed in here and there that had better make sense in the finale
Not the worst season (out of all the old and new) but one of the weakest ultimately in the new series

Not the worst season (out of all the old and new) but one of the weakest ultimately in the new series Since I have never seen the old series. This is by far the Worst season for me. I don't understand why these stories are so terrible... Maybe Moffat needs to call it quits and have someone else take over. Matt Smith was great and I loved him. but Capaldi is not warming up to me as fast as I want. He's very much "Mehh" so far

Yeah, Moffatt is done. And if having some strange lady pop up at the end of every other episode is his idea of a season arc, then he's out of ideas.

HOLY CHROME! Now that was a good beginning to the end. After a wishy-washy season all over the place - unless they royally screw up part two, that is one hell of a payoff.

Interesting episode. I'm glad it wasn't an actual afterlife, that would be a line they shouldn't cross. However, the way they've explained this soul stealing place doesn't make a lot of sense. How long has it been taking dead people? Certainly not for all of eternity, like the line "there are more dead people than alive" entails. And it's too bad the two twists at the end both involve treading over old ground.

A lot of people wanted "The Master" back, I mean it's interesting that it's a woman this time. So they are treading on new territory.
I loved this episode. Finally it paid off I wonder where they were going with this season.
Such a unique twist.

The plan could have started further back than just when this last season started, or the last time The Master appeared.

Good point. I think. It still would mean there's been a hundreds/thousands/millions year long plan to one day launch stupid Cybermen that the Doctor will destroy with a wave of his wand.
And it would still mean anyone who has ever died is still alive in the Nethersphere.

The Nethersphere is a computer storage program of persons eventually stripped of emotion for placement into Cybermen The Skeletal remains And quite probably neurons for movement are pretty much locked in Cybermen suits to give structure. They're pretty much just pickled brains - very little humanity is left in Cybemen if at all. There have been a few variations of Cybermen through the years. Some with body parts encased, and others with body parts replaced. I think Mr. Pink is truly dead for all intents and purposes, That Delete button he was looking at was just the final touch for the person's mind to agree to have the personality erased, but we shall see

Yeah, if they bring Pink back from the other side, I'll be very surprised.
They'll drag us along a bit next week, get our hopes up...then he's saying behind or whatever.

The again, he could still be alive and this is one of those Discs Clara tried to use on The Doctor for the volcano scene, and once Pink gives up and hits that delete button then his brain is downloaded - that's a possibility too - we shall see.
In either case, I think the visual representation of the Nethersphere is an illusion - but that computerized globe The Mistress looked up at is the actual thing.
By the way, after some research I found there has been a past female version of The Master. It's in a novel about a race of parasitic beings that the Timelords considered a real threat so they locked them in a space prison ship for billions of years until it drifted to this planet where the inhabitants went up to see what it was and unfortunately set them free.
While they had a war going on, and the parasites took over the population, they intercepted a call from The Master to his future self to come rescue him from a secret UNIT prison. So the parasites found the prison and proceeded to force copy after copy of he Master to be taken control of so they could damage the time stream - one of those Regenerations taken by the Parasites was a Mistress. In the novel they also stated that most of the regenerations had the same appearance because of the parasites - with the exception of a couple misshaped ones (both of whom can be explained by appearances in the old series) and one that looked like a politician (the one in the new series I think.) Oh, so it was the Third Doctor and current Master in that book doing the saving of the day.
Interesting - I will have to look that book up - it got a lot of praise.

Disappointing finish to a disappointing season.

Yeah good Santa - not enough beard
