The main details-

Geoff Johns and Jon Berg will now run DC Films, a specific genre stream within WB solely dedicated to the DC movies. The name's been tossed around since the Dawn of the Justice League special but has never been clearly defined.

You know who Geoff Johns is. CCO of DC, one of the main minds in getting them to TV, and with seemingly growing creative input on the movies, being on set for a lot of Wonder Woman and also co-writing Batman with Ben Affleck.

Jon Berg is an Executive VP at Warner Bros, and seasoned film producer. He's worked on the DC movies to some extent so far- including Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman- and will now produce Justice League. Also definitely worth noting he's Ben Affleck's "conduit" - he worked with him on Argo and Live by Night.

Big great thing- With Berg and Johns, Warners is attempting to unify the disparate elements of the DC movies with a seasoned film exec and a comics veteran that together can hopefully emulate the way Marvel Studios has produced its films under the vision of president Kevin Feige. But sources also say Warners still wants to remain filmmaker-driven. As part of the new job, Berg and Johns will become producers on the Justice League movies.*

On note of The Flash, it's confirmed that WB really just want someone with a great stamp who they can trust, and weren't happy to now risk a first time director. This is the good kind of fallout we actually want as fans.

Suicide Squad reshoots were, finally confirmed by a reliable trade, not to add humour. It's seemingly just as Ayer has said- they love it, and they wanted more. And Geoff Johns was heavily involved, so they upped his involvement in the DCEU.

Overall, this isn't chaos and doom and gloom. This is solid course correction which shows that the studio actually cares about these movies and doesn't just want them to perform well, but to be received well. This is good!
