It's expected to be released in 2018. It has nothing to do with the current TV Show on the CW.

It's just like Smallville. When "Superman Returns" came out it had nothing to do with the show...

Yeah, but this is different. Smallville had no Superman in it. The Flash TV SHOW and The Flash MOVIE are obviously gonna conflict with each other UNLESS that movie has Wally West instead of Barry Allen.

www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=109335Yeah I'm not a fan of this decision either. I understood it with 'Smallville'. I wasn't a fan of it then either, but I understood it. This doesn't make sense, especially since they cast Ezra Miller and didn't bag some big celebrity. Easily could have just stuck with Gustin, and they really should have. By the time this movie comes out, Gustin will have been Barry/the Flash for a full four seasons. Just seems foolish.

It can work IF he's playing Wally West and is introduced on the TV show before the movie is released.

According to THR he's playing Barry, not Wally. DC is going to completely ignore the TV universe. I get why they would discard 'Gotham' since that's sort of off in its own fantasy world, but I think they would really benefit from incorporating Amell and Gustin into any of the plans involving their characters.

Yeah that's what I figured... Honestly I'm fine with them separating the TV and Movie Universe... Unless they are doing the same exact story... In which case we are in trouble.

I'll take the wait and see approach before having Jack Nicholson give them the middle finger.

I'll just say that Miller already has lots of work to do to match Grant Gustin.

I just think it's kind of dumb. Why not take advantage of what's already in front of you?

www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=124355As the chief creative officer and spokesperson for DC Entertainment, Geoff Johns just did an interview with BuzzFeed in which he discusses the alluring concept of "the multiverse" and how the shows and movies will be separate but inherently tied worlds, as with Ezra Miller portraying The Flash in movies and Grant Gustin donning the red suit for TV. "'Arrow' and 'Flash' are the same universe, and we get a lot of great story out of that - especially when we have episodes that cross them over, but that's also where our superhero universe lives," Johns explained. "We look at it as the multiverse. We have our TV universe and our film universe, but they all co-exist. For us, creatively, it's about allowing everyone to make the best possible product, to tell the best story, to do the best world. Everyone has a vision and you really want to let the visions shine through… Maybe one day we'll link a show to a film if it makes sense, but the creative process we're going through right now is to let the stuff live and breathe and be its own thing and own it."

Basically, they're taking the "wait and see" approach. I guess that'll separate them from Marvel since Marvel plans their movies years in advance. Warner Bros is just going with the flow and seeing where it takes them.

Marvel has a Universe that is setup and well liked by Majority of the public.
DC does not...

Do we know which iteration of The Flash it's going to be?
Edit: Nevermind...

That's an interesting and unexpected choice. Scratch that. The directors of the Vacation soft-remake.

Knowing the Flash's track record, they'll be "creative differences" soon enough.

From all accounts, Vacation was terrible. And they only wrote the first drafts of Spider-Man: Homecoming, so that's not exactly a good litmus test, either.
