I think it be cool as hell if 1godzillafan started making videos. Also, not to be intrusive, but if you ever wanted to talk about video making stuff I'm happy to chat. Tone of voice is something that gets easier with time. Not that I consider myself especially great at delivery, but the more comfortable you get with recording yourself the better an understanding you develop of your own voice and how to use it. You can also use short clips for gags that help contextualize your voiceover and inform the overall tone of your video.

Given I'm sure you have a massive library of schlock on DVD/Blu-Ray, you can use some software to gather footage relatively easily, which is a huge win.

My partner uses DaVinci Resolve which is free. Or at least, there's a free version that will cover all your basics. I use Premiere Pro because I'm a stupid asshole.

Personally, I'd recommend editing the audio in DaVinci (or whichever editor you use) and just using audacity to record yourself and apply a basic noise reduction. Anything more specific is fairly tedious in my experience. You can cut your raw audio into a timeline pretty easily in any video editor.

Further clarification on Twitter says that she was talking to a Blu-ray distributer when she made her previous tweet but negotiations didn't come together like she had hoped. She doesn't mention the label, though she is hopeful someone else might want to work with her.



She also mentioned in the comments that, for whatever reason, Shudder will not be hosting the segments on their service.

I have to wonder if this is going to be the direction MST3K takes from now on.  Wasn't a Kickstarter for streaming/DVD how Season 11 started out, and only wound up on Netflix because they were impressed by the response?  

Okay, the secret was spoiled not long after that, and it's...something.

Kickstarter has the same goals as last time. However, the twist is that Joel is forgoing finding a platform and he and Shout are creating their own paid subscription service, titled Gizmoplex. Basically the idea is that with added subscription revenue they can hopefully continue to keep MST3K going without worrying about getting canceled by suits.

In a streaming service saturated market, I'm not entirely sure how crazy i am about this idea. It might be better to team with Rifftrax and Co-platform, but maybe Shout is hoping to make this a paid subsection of Shout TV.

Anyway, I'll put money in, but I don't know how much I can spare right now.

Man, I wish I could contribute that much, but I am going to pitch in as much as I can. 

The ultra-high dollar limited number backing options are already almost done.  Impressive.  I'll be backing it for sure, but I don't want an Executive Producer credit enough to shell out $25,000, not that I have it anyway.  

I'm surprised to see that Jonah, Felicia and Patton all appear to be coming back for Season 13.  I expected them to be going with the Live Tour cast, with Emily taking Jonah's chair.  Maybe she didn't want the hassle from all the dudebros who would no doubt have come out of the woodwork.  Were Felicia and Patton being cool with their paychecks to keep costs down for the previous seasons?  

It's official! The Gizmoplex will be launched and MST3K is coming back for 3 new episodes!

I don't think that was ever in doubt.  Two million is a lot for most Kickstarters, but it's peanuts for MST3K.  There are enough fans out there to support two separate 24/7 streaming channels: one on Twitch and the other on Pluto TV.  If they don't make the $5.5 million tier for the full season, I'll be shocked.
