I didn't know Cry Macho was going to drop on HBO and theaters too. I'd be hesitant to drop a Jackson (or Tubman?) on Eastwood these days but I'd still rather watch it on the big screen. Warner Bros has plans to celebrate Eastwood’s 50th anniversary with the studio. I don’t know if any final decisions have been made, but I pitched doing something with his illegitimate son Hugh Jackman. But they’ll probably just release a blu-ray set and re-release Unforgiven in theatres. Maybe some sort of documentary as well.

Anyone else have severe buffering issues on Movies Anywhere with 4k?
Doesn't happen on other app, I have a TV in my basement, wifi 2 levels above, and mesh 1 level in between.
My thoughts were wait for an app update, wire to my mesh, or wait until I buy a PS5 next year.

1godzillafanwww.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/live-action-dora-fairly-oddparents-paramount-plusA pair of signature Nickelodeon shows are getting live-action updates on Paramount+. The streamer is developing live-action versions of Dora the Explorer and The Fairly OddParents as part of a sizable offering of kids and family programming on the soon to launch platform (a renamed and expanded CBS All Access). Brian Robbins, president ViacomCBS Kids & Family, announced the two projects Wednesday as part of a flood of news during Paramount+'s investor presentation. Robbins said the shows would be "in the vein of" the 2019 live-action feature film Dora and the Lost City of Gold and will target Nickelodeon's core kid audience. Other details are scant at the moment. The Dora and OddParents projects are in keeping with ViacomCBS' m.o. for Paramount+, which is to mine the company's vast IP library for updates and new spins of existing titles. Wednesday's presentation included news of series based on Paramount movies Love Story, Fatal Attraction and The Parallax View; a revival of Frasier; and revivals of MTV's Road Rules and VH1's Behind the Music, among others.

I'm watching La Llarona on Shudder on a 7 day trial.
Anyone got any recommendations of other stuff to watch on that App?

I'm watching La Llarona on Shudder on a 7 day trial. Anyone got any recommendations of other stuff to watch on that App? One Cut of the Dead. Also JOE BOB! Check out all of his marathons and see if there are any flicks that tickle your fancy. See if they got Sleepaway Camp, Reanimator, Demons, Chopping Mall, One Cut (as mentioned), and the most recent double feature with Tammy and the T-Rex. Also they got a solid J-horror package from Arrow, like Ring, Dark Water, and One Missed Call. They're also the only place to see Sadako vs. Kayako, which isn't great but has some highs and lows.

thebtskinkI was playing with my Shudder account just now. Looks like Dark Water isn't on there anymore. My bad. But if you love classic Universal horror they have The Old Dark House starring Boris Karloff and directed by James Whale. Well worth watching for classic horror buffs. Also one more Joe Bob recommendation, there's a movie on there called A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, which isn't a horror movie but an arty vampire romance. While the movie isn't everyone's cup of tea (I thought it was pretty decent), Joe Bob did an episode on it and his segments are hysterical. That night was wild because we got the hashtag "#PussyStretcher" to trend on Twitter for a few hours. It was such a fun ride. And if you're in the mood for something indie that has a little bit of a sci-fi flavor, there's a flick about parallel realities called Coherence which I watched on their streaming TV service a few months back. It's not perfect, but it's an interesting premise. And it has Xander from Buffy in it.

Xander recently claimed to not have put out a statement on Whedon as he was too busy with a paralyzed penis and anus.
Anyways, thanks for the recommendations, man!
I'm on a staycation for a week and the more movies the better.

I chose VFW as my first watch, and you guys might even get a review.
Way better than it has any right to be.

I just discovered HBO Max has old Looney Tunes.
Laid out in the weirdest fashion but still, it's a nice trip down memory lane.

I have no clue why they're organized by "seasons" especially when they seem to be in no particular order at all. Finding a particular one can be a bitch, but at least there seems to be more organization for them on HBO Max than the classic Mickey, Donald, and Goofy cartoons on Disney+

Nickelodeon used to play hour after hour of classic Looney Tunes. I didn't truly appreciate them until they were gone.

Nickelodeon only aired those weird 1930’s black & white ones with the fat Porky Pig. TNT aired the 1940’s ones and TBS aired the 1950’s & 60’s ones. Plus, the Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show on ABC Saturday mornings.

..... What the hell alternate dimension were you watching Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon in? I remember Nickelodeon’s run of Looney Tunes being mostly false advertisement. Ted Turner, not Warner Bros, actually owned the a.a.p. library of Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies. TNT/TBS was the only place, to my knowledge, that aired the 1940’s shorts. Nickelodeon might have aired the 1950’s/60’s shorts at some point, but I think once Warner Bros bought Turner, that got moved to TBS and Nickelodeon was left with those 1930’s black & white fat Porky Pig shorts. The ones that Harman & Ising produced.
