He should be the one forging the dragonstone weapons. They don't require forging, at least that's what I saw some nerds on the internet saying. I can't wait for Arya to kill Littlefinger.

I think most of us saw that happening, but it was still something to see it happen.

I didn't see the death of the dragon coming - definitely the saddest death since Shireen, for me. As soon as it hit the ground, though, I just knew it was going to be wight-ed.

There were a lot of fan theories saying ice dragon, and some quite convincing. I hoped it wouldn't happen... But that was a heart breaker.
But now drogos namesake must kill visery's namesake. Poetic. Just another brother killing a brother... Will the hound and the mountain be in each other's presence this week?

Why must it be Drogos? Why can't Rhaegal kill him? I also think they'll use Cersei's crossbow contraption to kill the dragon with a dragonstone-tipped arrow. Just my guess. There is also the theory that Bran will warg the Ice Dragon and take control of it. I think the Night King will go down, which will end the threat of the White Walkers since they made it a point to notice that killing the one who infected the others will make them all die in the last episode.
Do y'all think they will wrap up the Night King threat next episode so they can focus on everything else next season?

That would be very surprising, and frankly, disappointing. He has still yet to get past the wall. That would be very anti-climactic if they kill him before he even had a chance to.
I think the Night King has to be the threat through next season, with Cersei attempting a backstab at some point during, inevitably leading to Jamie killing her (unless they somehow tie that up next week). We have to see all of Westeros united in fighting the common enemy. I would also assume that since we're only down to one episode, that any badassery that Bran may be capable of, we won't see it until next season (warging dragons, living or otherwise, etc). If I had to take a very precise guess, I would say the Night King won't be defeated until the second to last episode of season 8, with the remaining episode tying everything up. Even more so if the reports hold true that all the episodes in the next season are feature-length.

Yea no chance they waste an ice dragon on a single episode.
And yea the dragon glass tipped scorpion bolt would do it so it'll be interesting how they handle it.
Walls gotta come down at some point. And soon.

Well shit, I guess we now know how it's all ending. Jon kills the night king at the last minute, and all the wights fall. How do we know this? Because they KEEP DOING IT. Phantom Menace, Lord of the Rings, others, etc... Damn Queen Bee trope.

When you make the bad guys soulless killing machines who can never be reasoned with you basically have to find a way to kill all of them, and meticulous genocides tend not to make for fun viewing.

I'm ok with the Queen Bee Trope if it's not on an entirely wider scope - I'd prefer an all out battle where the majority of the army is defeated, with maybe killing the Night King stopping a very specific/focused incursion. I don't know how they're going to pull off Cleganebowl in the next episode - the Hound just got to the Wall, and shit's coming their way real quick. The episode will have to end on some kind of cliffhanger since there's not way to hold off on all-out war at the Wall next episode.

I understand why it's done, it's climactic. Nobody want's a WWII movie about that uncertain point where the German army starts to move backwards for a few years. But to suddenly get such a big glance of how they (might) end it is a bit of a let down. Or maybe this is just the start of the whole "nothing's good enough" thing I sometimes do for favorite shows of mine.

You could have some epic moments with this new information. Like killing one of the white walkers, watching the dead fall, only to have the Night King or someone else reanimate them all again.
I would have preferred them not just up and die immediately, though. If they're going this route, I would rather them turn into aimless zombies that still must be eliminated. Simply no longer acting as one mind, rather than falling immediately.

I was hoping when they said "feature-length", that it would be at least an hour and a half. The finale will be clocking in at just under 80 minutes.
