Now that I think about it, the notorious unrealized Jodoroski production of Dune in the 70's had plans to use Pink Floyd for the entire soundtrack.

Are they going to make the same mistakes in the marketing as they did for Blade Runner 2049? I.e. cater mainly to those who are already fans of the material but leave outsiders still in the dark? Cause as someone who hasn't read Dune, seen the other movie and is in general unfamiliar with it, this trailer was solid but did nothing to move up my excitement past where it already was. I have faith in Villenueve, but give me a better sense of the story and characters.

For whatever reason, Villeneuve seems to be given carte Blanche as if he's made the money Nolan has. But he ain't. Not that I'm complaining... |
