Daniel Brühl has been confirmed as playing Baron Zemo. I think the Martin Freeman role is going to turn out to be Everett Ross, who is a liaison between the US and Wakanda. Freeman is perfect for the part. He's a comic relief character who constantly finds himself in over his head in situations involving Black Panther, such as waiting around in his underwear in a seedy hotel room with Mephisto.

William Hurt (Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk) as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross In case people thought The Incredible Hulk was ignored after all these years. It's been the one movie kinda sitting in limbo as to whether or not it's really a part of the MCU. Hopefully we get some Leader down the line.

In case people thought The Incredible Hulk was ignored after all these years. It's been the one movie kinda sitting in limbo as to whether or not it's really a part of the MCU. Not really. There are loads of references throughout the MCU to the events of The Incredible Hulk, and the movie itself has references to the other MCU films.

Which movies reference The Incredible Hulk? And Hulk is the 2nd MCU movie, so its only reference to other MCU movies is the Tony Stark cameo at the end.
The Incredible Hulk is, and always will be, the black sheep of the MCU.

Which movies reference The Incredible Hulk? And Hulk is the 2nd MCU movie, so its only reference to other MCU movies is the Tony Stark cameo at the end. The Incredible Hulk is, and always will be, the black sheep of the MCU. Iron Man 2 features news footage of the fight between the Hulk and the army at Culver University. Thor has a scene in which Dr. Selvig tells Jane about how SHIELD confiscated everything from one of his colleagues who was an expert in gamma radiation. The Avengers has footage from The Incredible Hulk in it twice. The first is when Tony displays the data from Coulson's laptop on the holo-display. The second is when Cap is viewing a laptop. Plus, there's the scene between Tony and Bruce in which he says, "Thanks, but the last time I was in New York I kind of broke... Harlem." The Marvel One-Shot called The Consultant is all about Abomination. Daredevil features a newspaper headline for a Ben Urich article about the Harlem battle. The Incredible Hulk is only the black sheep because it didn't get a sequel.

Does this mean we could see the Red Hulk since general Ross uses that stuff on banner on himself.

Does this mean we could see the Red Hulk since general Ross uses that stuff on banner on himself. Is it possible? Sure. It's not bloody likely, though. Ross becomes the Red Hulk in the comics as a result of decades worth of stories about him being obsessed with capturing The Hulk to the point where he allowed himself to become what he hated. We've only seen Ross in one movie in the MCU, and a relatively unappreciated film at that. On top of that, Civil War is already more crowded with superheroes than any MCU movie to date, including Age of Ultron. Throwing Red Hulk into the mix is unnecessary.

Well i dont see anyone taking Starks side from the Avengers really so your gonna have iron man pretty much alone with Shield but odd thing is Hill, Romanoff and Barton was always Shield before Cap 2.

Well we do know that we will have Cap and Tony on two sides of an issue. Which has Civil War beginning idea. But my feeling is we cannot have the full bad things Stark does in the comics Cap and Iron Man are heroes. They cannot make Iron Man the villain people like RDJ too much. I think we will get Cap taking a cause for freedom when he really doesnt know how the world works or whats going on in it out side of being an Avenger. I think we will get an Iron Man vs Cap until they realize they are brothers and they have wrecked too much havoc. I think though Iron Man could quit being an Avenger after whatever CIVIL War Cap fate happens.

Tony's pro-registration faction will have SHIELD backing him up, of course. Most of this season of Agents of SHIELD has been about dealing with unregistered people with superpowers. Rhodey is not only best friends with Stark, but is also a career military man. The notion of having to take orders will seem perfectly reasonable to him. Hawkeye was career SHIELD until it's fall, so it's possible he could side with them, although he did disobey orders by refusing to kill Black Widow, and chose to recruit her instead. As a former criminal, Ant-Man may wind up siding with Tony just to keep out of trouble, rather than genuine agreement with registration. Then there's Baron Zemo. In the comics incarnation of Civil War, Zemo was put in charge of The Thunderbolts, a team of supervillains forced to cooperate with the Registration Act. This could result in Abomination, The Leader, and any of the various unnamed "enhanced" Hydra folks mentioned during the opening scene of Age of Ultron being drafted onto the Thunderbolts team.
Then of course, there's the possibility of Spider-Man being caught in the middle.

Crossbones looks fantastic. Another great balance between comics and real world sensibility. Why is Anthony Russo holding a lightsaber, though?

Marvel Tests Final Spider-Man Contenders on 'Captain America: Civil War' Set
After a secretive all-day screen-testing process Saturday, Marvel is on the verge from choosing the actor who will don the red and blue suit of Spider-Man.
According to sources, six teenage boys tested for the highly sought-after role in Captain America: Civil War and follow-up films, one of the biggest “gets” for a young actor in the film business.
Tom Holland, who appeared as one of Naomi Watts’ sons in the acclaimed tsunami drama The Impossible, and Asa Butterfield, the child star from Hugo and Ender’s Game, were the best known of the contenders. The other four hopefuls included: Judah Lewis (a relative newbie who will be seen in the Jean Marc-Vallee’s fall drama Demolition), Matthew Lintz (who will be seen with Adam Sandler in this summer’s Pixels), Charlie Plummer (who had a recurring gig on Boardwalk Empire), and Charlie Rowe (a British actor who appeared on Fox’s short-lived Red Band Society).
(Reports that Butterfield having been offered the role were as Marvel is only now in the midst of their decision.)
The tests cap off a worldwide search in which the producers looked at over 1,500 boys from around the world, narrowing them down to the final six only in the last two weeks or so.
The actors were flown to Atlanta for the tests; that is where Marvel is currently in production on Civil War, the movie in which the character will be introduced before going on to headline his own hopeful trilogy that will be made by Sony Pictures.
Present for the tests were Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige, former head and now a Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal, and Joe and Anthony Russo, the brothers who are directing Civil War.
Marvel and Sony must make a decision very soon due to time constraints, and one factor that could influence the decision is age. In the new movies, Peter Parker, Spider-Man’s alter ego, will be a high school student for the new trilogy, and it’s important an actor convey the character’s teenhood. Butterfield and Holland are both 18, Rowe is 19, while the others could be as low as 14.
A decision is expected to be made early in the week. One source, however, cautioned there is a slim chance that Marvel won’t like any of their choices and could keep looking.

This Is suppose to be the team Iron Man and team Cap sides
Team Cap.
Hawkeye. Falcon Scarlett Witch. Ant Man. Winter Soldier
Team Iron Man.
War Machine Black Widow Spiderman Vision This seems a bit pro cap. My guess is Iron Man will not be as evil as the comic version. No way would they tarnish iron man who started this whole marvel saga. My guess it will be more about Winter Soldier killing his father. I think Widow is a spy for cap but Iron Man aka Stark would see that. I think Iron Man will also have a spy in Ant Man. Or Scarlett Witch is not a double agent and its War Machine.

I might be wrong but I didn't think that Spiderman was going to have that big of a role in this movie.
