Jibbs, this is an easy round. If they are not familiar at first glance, you can detective work 5 of them easy, the other 5 will take a little more work but still searchable. Also I forgot to mention, the bonus point is a nay for now. It was 4 for and 4 against. Would have been fun, and on rounds like this where you might not know any on the first set, would have been a chance at something. Maybe later on down the road I will ask again and see how people feel then.

I don't know any of these. Seriously? Is this just sarcasm, and I'm missing it? Most of these I recognized immediately.

#3 and #8 look familiar. Are we done making me feel worse now?

Holy crap! I can't believe I finally won. As for Hellraiser 2, that happens to be the best in the series, and that scene always stood out to me because it's just shockingly brutal, or was at the time. Now we just need to do an Asian movie themed game and I just might win again! Oh, and only 4 out of 10 were horror, Joyride is more suspense. Maybe it's my screen resolution, but isn't there a mattress scene exactly like that in the first one? Ah helll, now I gotta take my copy of both movies back from my friend and rewatch. Love those first two and the one with Kirsty and Dean Winters. The razer blade is the difference. If I remember correctly, the guy is having hallucinations of bugs on his skin, so the doctor gives him the blade so he can cut himself up and spill his own blood on the blood-stained mattress of the first film to summon the dead step-mom. I haven't seen the movie in well over a decade, I just remember how crazy it was when the guy started cutting himself up.

When this round is over I am going to show you how easy it is to detective work these. Not to be a jerk showoff or something, just to show that it can be done and help improve some scores for future rounds.

I'm not really confident in my guess for #3. On the one hand, the still itself and the way the lighting looks makes me think of what I guessed, but the aspect ratio isn't correct. Oh well...

While I also feel sorry for those who don't know any of these, the point of the game would seem to be a measure of ones movie knowledge and recall ability.

Even though my ability's not what it used to be, I don't see any reason to nerf the game down.

Not sure it would have helped me much anyway, not seen a surprisingly large amount of the movies you've chosen thus far ; that being said, help's always welcome

It encourages others to expand their cinematic horizons. I pity anyone who has yet to see the films from 1, 7 & 10, but am also jealous that you might be able to enjoy them for the very first time. Rewatching a great film is fun, but there's nothing like experiencing a classic for the first time.

Working crazy hours on PhD doesn't leave me much time for watching TV/movies, and Netflix already takes a large chunk of the limited free time, but still, you're right, this is a good place to get suggestions for movies to add to the queue

Sent ; should have gone with my gut on set 1 (also think I said set 1 as subject line, oops!) One's first instinct is usually right. In the case of this game, you lose nothing by making a wrong guess in set one. If set two makes you realize you were wrong, you can always change it. If you don't have a clue or a gut reaction, then at least make a joke. Duke Leto doesn't get to play, after all. We should do something to keep him entertained in exchange for running this thing.
