I've started rewatching this series. I really wish Warner Bros would get this onto bluray already. Its amazing when I look at this show and compare it to the network dramas out today. What a drop.

I began rewatching The West Wing about a month ago. I needed some exposure to politics that didn't make me want to cry out in despair. I've been trying to limit myself to one episode per weekday, but if I can't avoid the news of Drumph's latest idiocy, I'll often watch another if time permits. I'm already up to season three.
I also blame Drumph for my inability to watch House of Cards. From everything I've heard, it's a quality show about everything that's terrible in US politics. I've got enough of that in real life.

Ainsley Hayes was a sadly underutilized character. She had loads of potential, and was a superior replacement for Season One's mostly pointless Mandy. Despite being an interesting character, Aaron just didn't seem to know what to do with her. It didn't help that her job at the White House didn't really necessitate her being a member of the inner circle. Of course, since she was eventually replaced by Amy Gardner, I'm okay with it. I've had a major thing for Mary-Louise Parker ever since.

I went through the series for the first time two years ago. Two Cathedrals is definitely my favorite episode of the entire series; fantastic episode. Sheen's monologue in the church is great.

I've started to fall behind on my West Wing. After the last week, I've wanted to watch two a day, but I've changed positions at work and am no longer at a desk doing mundane paperwork. I prefer the position, but it makes watching Netflix at my desk impossible. At least this will make the series last longer before I have to start over. I just finished watching Season Six, episode five.

Just finished watching S07E02 The Mommy Problem. Santos gets called up for reserve duty. For the record, while there is a Joint Reserve Air Base in Fort Worth, TX, there are absolutely no palm trees anywhere on base. The only palm trees in Fort Worth are the tiny ones in front of In & Out Burger.
