Is that one of those Barnes & Noble exclusives? Yes. It came with a little poster of Cthulhu.

Just finished The Impending Crisis: America Before the Civil War: 1848-1861 Written by: David M. Potter , Don E. Fehrenbacher
If you want a really detailed synopsis of the major events in the nation and discussions in Congress that lead up to the war, this one is long and dry for the most part, but at the same time very interesting.

Alright, I finished The Dark Forest. To be honest, I was almost ready to give up on the series, until I reached the last part of the book 200 years in the future, and suddenly I was completely captivated again. I had made a couple predictions, but they didn't come true (at least not yet). I predicted that the mental block was in fact used, and used widespread which is what gave everyone in the future confidence that they would win. I suppose that could be the case, just was never explicitly explained.
I also expected Da Shi to be Lou's wallbreaker.

Third book in the expanse series. It's not like deep necessarily but it's damn entertaining.
Head over to my nahaniel philbrick collection after this I'm sure.

I also expected Da Shi to be Lou's wallbreaker. Glad you stayed the course. If the future world captivated you then you'll probably enjoy the final book the most. I'll be honest, I loved all three but I struggle to recall the specifics of the first two. Maybe too epic for their own good... The Chinese are filming an adaptation. Worth keeping an eye on.

Loved the first. Don't remember getting the others though.
Read the first two of the southern reach trilogy. They've kept me interested, the first one was so good, tense and paranoid in a way.
Onto the killers of the flower moon by david grann, terribly interesting. Lost city of z by him is also really good.

I thought the new, Trudeau Canada was different. I thought wrong. Go back to the abyss.
