I'm trying to find a trilogy release but there doesn't seem to be one... which is a bit of a wasted opportunity. I hired the first and second parts from my local library, which is cool and all, but I'm ready to buy the trilogy as a whole and there doesn't seem to be a 3-book release for Death's End!

Books aren't typically released in sets when it's just finished. Who would the target audience be? Sets are for established books like LOTR and A Song of Ice and Fire.
Maybe when the paperbacks come out.

Yeah, maybe.
I guess the English versions haven't been all that successful as if they had I think they would've had a box set ready to go.

Don't translated books tend to be awkwardly written?

I didn't notice anything. Deexan did with the second one. *shrug*
But it's sci-fi - who cares.

I felt that the initial chapter of book two wasn't up to the standard set by the translation of book one, but it soon picked up. Indeed, The Dark Forest ended up surpassing its predecessor in every way.

Don't translated books tend to be awkwardly written? Not always, it depends on the translator. Murakami is one of my favorite writers and his work has always been in Japanese first.

Imagine my surprise when I started listening to a true crime book and find out that it happened in the very town I am sitting in!!!!
Devil in the Darkness: The True Story of Serial Killer Israel Keys by J.T. Hunter starts off with the Disappearance of a couple in Essex VT, and sets the scene listing a number of nearby landmarks including Fort Ethan Allen. The fort, closed and now has buildings transformed into apartments and a museum as well as structures used for firefighter training, and an old hospital were I am in rehab. Keys was a pretty well organized killer who planned ahead by doing things like burying kill kits for future use as he traveled around the country.
I mentioned that I was listening to a true crime book that takes place here in town, and the person I was talking to said, "Oh! Death of Innocence?"
DEATH OF INNOCENCE: The True Story of an Unspeakable Teenage Crime by Peter Meyer
Now I know of two book worthy crimes that took place right here in Essex VT!!!! (Cue Twilight Zone theme)

Ramplate, a podcast you may be interested in is the Thinking Sideways podcast, where they look at unsolved mysteries and try to figure out the most likely scenario. Lots of unsolved real crimes discussed.

I just bought my first comic/graphic novel in over 20 years. I picked up Batman: Hush and am about a quarter of the way through. It's pretty cool, still deciding which one I want to grab next.

I'd recommend this science fiction book as an interesting search for life sustaining planets and colonization. It's also pretty humorous. I got a good chuckle out of it.
We Are Legion (We Are Bob) by Dennis E Taylor, book 1 of The Bobiverse
Book 2 should be out soon For We Are Many

Sphere by Michael Chrichton Read that book all the time as a kid. Favorite book growing up. I really like how he gives you a hint of something to come, but doesn't put a red flag and lights all pointing to it like other authors. Most of the time you're reading along and it suddenly dawns on you. I've actually said, "Oh shit!" out loud at times when a twist pops up. Next book is Congo.
