I was talking to my friends about the first movie each of us remembers seeing. I'm not quite sure which came first but mine was either All Dogs Go To Heaven or another Disney movie that nobody's ever heard of called Cheetah. What about you cool cats?

My memory's not so good. Oldest movie I can (barely) remember seeing in the theater is Dick Tracy. I was 8. (Though I vividly remember seeing Terminator 2 the next year.)

We didnt get a local theater until i was in middle school and too be fair i was into football more then movies back then. I was a sports watching nut. Now i watched classic movies and things and I owned VHS tapes of movies. My First movie not on VHS was Jurassic Park in a Differant town where my sister lived. I starting regularly going too movies after I saw Phantom Menace, Then Harry Potter came and Lord OF The Rings, X-Men, The Spiderman movies and I was hooked as a movie goer

The earliest movie I can think of off the top of my head was Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
*I also remember seeing Big in the theater, which came out the same year, so it's possible that could have been the first that I am able to recall by memory.

I do have some faint recollection of ET and some Disney movies, but the first movies I really remember seeing was a double feature of Ghostbusters and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan at a drive-in in Kenosha.

They should have done an E.T./The Thing double feature. Made you fall in love with an Alien and then scared you to death.

I'm sure the first movie I saw in a theater was probably one of the endless (at the time) Disney re-releases of their animated features. They re-released one or two of those every year until the early 1980's, when VHS became prevalent. The earliest movie that I recall which wasn't a re-release is The Rescuers (1977). My Mom made a big deal about the fact that this was a brand new film, instead of a re-release. It was all the same to me, of course, but we were finally going to a movie she hadn't already seen.

I know the first R-rated movie I saw in theaters was Air Force One when I was 11. I had watched plenty on VHS before that but it was the first time I convinced my parents to let me tag along.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze
Or Terminator 2.
Both were the same year, forget which one I would've seen.

That's where the fetish began. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze You poor bastard. This is the equivalent of Return of the Jedi being your first Star Wars.

I saw Ninja Turles II in theaters but also remember my uncle taking me to see the first one with my cousins who were all teenagers at the time.
I also remember seeing Ninja Turtles III. I still owe my dad an apology for having him take me to see that one.

You people are old. First movie I remember seeing in theaters is X-Men. I had already lost my virginity when X-Men came out. Could have gotten a girl pregnant and that kid would be graduating high school. It is YOU who is old, sir. There's class of 2018 students who weren't even alive when you went to watch X-Men in July 2000. You're old enough to be your own grandfather.

I feel old, especially working my shitty fast food job in the summer. First DVD I got, before I had a DVD player. I have that movie on VHS I did too. Actually, my VHS copy had deleted scenes and other bonus features after the credits, while the DVD was completely barebones.
